What's the best way to start the new year? By going trail / forest road riding with friends of course!
A local overlander here in Chattanooga TN put together the second annual New Years Day Trail Ride. We all met at a gas station just outside of the Cherokee National Forest before setting off...
Thanks! My dad is already designing version 3 for him. :sombrero:
Copy away, and let me know if you have any questions! When you get started, send me a link, I'd love to follow along.
Thanks Kev! I was hoping to work on it some this weekend, but alas I'm on call. May have some more camping pics soon. There is a group camping trip in two weekends I'm considering joining.
So after a few thousand miles, my trailer is back in Birmingham where we built it. We've got a few things we'd like to finish up now that the big trips for the season are over. We are finishing the trailgate, building in the steps on the side, and possible adding some shelves and drawers inside...
Thanks Jeff! We really appreciated the time you put into setting this up.
I'll try and get some more day's uploaded here for those that don't want to click over to the blog.
Do you value your paint? If the answer is no, then you can probably make it through most sections of the trip. :sombrero: There are bypasses for most of the sections that we had trouble. My jeep is pretty scratched up and i'm 7 inches narrower than you. The little washed out bridge could be a...
KAT Day 1
Day 1:
In case you were not aware, 3:30 AM is really to early for most human beings to function. In spite of this fact that’s what time my alarm went off on Saturday June 25th. Fortunately my excitement motivated me to crawl out of bed take a quick shower and load the jeep up with the...
It was my first week long expedition, and a great starter in my opinion. It was really really enjoyable. Jeff did a great job with POIs, campgrounds and the route. I'd recommended it to anyone wanting a good long trip.
Hey Everyone! Days 1-5 are now on the site. As soon a as I get day 6 up there I'll start posting the trip report here!

The Kentucky Adventure Tour:
1576.3 Miles - By far this is the longest and best overloading adventure I've ever been a part of.
Earlier this summer a thread was started to gauge interest on getting a group together to run the KAT. There was a lot of...
Hey Dsmskyline! I do have some updates, but on a different thread. Check it out:

With the wood storage rack I'm about 4.5' x 8', but I'll have to go measure it this week. The enclosed part is closer to 4.5' x 6'...
Hey Indiana! Check out Instagram.com/shocku992 for some more pics. We are in the middle of the Kentucky Adventure Tour right now, but when I get back home I'll throw more pics up and a review of trailer.
More pics tonight! Promise! Got two tarps / covers made, the water tubes run and the pump and switch wired up. I've got a new latch for the tailgate coming today, that should be just about it.
I've got a few updates, but not many pictures. We were in a time rush on Father's Day and I didn't take the extra time to snap many pics.
We had a lot of little things to finish up this last weekend. First and foremost was trailer lights. We got those run with little trouble early in the...
Yes, yes you should check it out soon! lol
