Here is the cu coupler. Solid build. Nice brass bushes, biggest socket head cap screw I have ever seen. Looks well made and solid. I think this is rated for less weight than the ebay one but it's going on a smaller trailer.
I'm going with the cap twist for now. It ratchets with the lock ring and doesnt take much to vent. I thought of running a vent line but it's an easy deal to just twist it a little for the couple times a year I'll use it.
The prices have gone insane but people are back at work and prices are dropping. The ones with the tops, especially the hard tops are rediculous. Look for one with a flat tire or bad paint. Also, don't forget, the last item I bought on gov planet cost 60% more with fees and shipping. Make sure...
Yes. I think it didn't quite make the bottom. Using a soft line or three pieces of hard line would have done it. It's hard to get it in and snake it around the boss in the center. The cheapo tube type siphon tube with the plate that screws in might work better but maybe leak as well.
Needed a third bed in my square drop. Bought the $50 coleman cot. Repurposed the original bars and brackets for the fixed side. Used a piece of aluminum pipe and some ebay aluminum tube clamps and aluminum angle for a no weld solution.
Hi all. I was tired of the diesel smell in my tool box and wanted to add a bit more capacity for winter trips. I came up with a pretty clean install idea using a diesel roto can.
I used a high quality name brand pickup tube from ebay. Because of the center boss in the tank I had to do a two...
Your probably right but its funny. I still don't see them making the hitch there in house in anything i can find or in the literature. I see them building and testing suspension.
Regardless for the extra $200 it's probably good to get a good warranty. Everything overland starts at $1000 so it...
Good to know on the cu. Hope mine comes soon.
I got the above coupler before I knew about cruisemaster. I liked that it had the aussie 4 bolt pattern. I see some aussie overland components coming from China and then being fit and finished in Australia. Several trailer brands too. With the...
I was looking at off- road hitch couplers after flopping my personal trailer when the ball let loose, so I bought a few to try. I have a cu offroad polyblock style on order and just received the ebay one. Looks identical to the cruisemaster and looks well made. I wonder if it's the same...
Finally found it. Cruisemaster suspension was the one I was thinking of. It's on a ton of brands. These trailers are similar to those and a lot of Australian models.
I have a small trailer with rtt mounted up high. It was dangerous without shocks. Running shocks made it invincible, until I blew a shock and flopped the trailer off a rock. My vote is they are definitely a plus :)
Twin shocks. Standard independent swing arm like you see on most offroad trailers. Identical to the other suspension kit you can buy. Can't think of their name, not timbren. Looks just like smittybuilt and others. Electric brakes. Parking brake. Limit chains. All pretty high quality stuff.
OAL is about 193
Width at tires 86
Height looks like 90.5
2750 lbs
Fresh water tank is 120L
It has wiring and vents installed for a dometic ac unit under the front bench. I have one unit with 100w solar mounted to the front, the others have no solar provisions.
