I don't understand exactly what you are saying.
I live in Houston. I have about 10 Coscto Wharehouses within an hour driving distance from me. None carries a Group 27 battery. The closest that carries a Group 27 battery is over 200 miles from me. The first Coscto which is 10 minutes from my...
Group 27 is indeed huge. But I discovered group 31 by chance and it is more heavy duty and costs about same, depending on which brand I am interested in. I realized that the cost of the Group 31 I want to buy is even less than a red top or yellow top group 27 that some people buy. So, it is not...
Yes, I do live in Houston. I have a Interstate battery dealer 5 minutes from my job and I also know the one in Conroe. But their prices for the Group 27 is so much higher than Costco. And Costco offers 3 years free replacement based on honor system since they never check if you are telling a lie...
The length is what bothers me if it will fit or not. The other specs you mentioned should hopefully be fine. Look at this picture I just took from the internet. Stock length is 12.06. The Group 31 is 13. My stock tray seems like the 13 might not fit by a tiny bit. But I am eager to find out when...
Great idea. But I plan to go in store and ask them return policy. Particularly if I can return it if when I have already actually installed it but changed ny mind. By then the battery would have visible scratches here and there from trying to make it fit, if it does not fit on its own easily...
Good info. I started this thread mainly because I wanted to experiment with the Group 31 battery. Yeah, I do not like the 1 year warranty.
But since I will not be abusing it like those diesel engines abuse it, I think it could last me a while. So, I am probably going to buy the Group 31...
I just checked my OEM battery this night. I bought it in 7/2016. The specs say it has only 675 CCA. I am quite impressed that it has lasted almost 4 years now. You can see the connections to my lights. 3 switches for 3 sets if offroad lights. And using it without the engine running is what has...
Lol, that is funny and interesting.
These are my choices:
1st choice: Interstate Group 27. Too bad not easily found.
2nd choice: Walmart Group 27. Easy to get a replacement if it fails. 3 years free replacement.
3rd choice: Traveller's Group 31. Only $10 more than walmart. Only 1 year...
This store is local. Warranty on this is only 12 months. It would be a real disappointment if I buy this and it dies after just 1 year use.
I will go check this battery out in person when next I am off from work.
A Interstate dealer is 5 minutes from my job. And is 30 minutes from my house.
I called them up. I asked them for a price quote on a Group 27. They told me $162 plus tax. I asked for a quote fora Group 31. They told me $169.99 plus tax.
Costco sells the Group 27 for $92.99 plus tax. Walmart...
This is honestly the main reason why Walmart stands out to me as the most practical choice. Though ideally, I would have preferred to buy the Costco, if it was not about 4 hours drive to the store which has one.
Easy replacemtn.
That is truly why I went to Walmart to buy Everstart Maxx. But for some reason changed my mind. I guess because my car can still crank ok, but Measured CA is going lower and lower, per Autozone. That it will die soon.
I wish. I asked them and they told me no. They claim Costco sends them whatever based on the market and the sales in the area. So, I cannot get one. And that is shocking because I live in Houston, TX. This is the 4th most populous city in the country.
Good point. Actually, my first choice is to get the Costco Group 27 battery. But I truly hate that the nearest store which carries it is actually 220 miles away.
It means I have to kind of make myself to take a road trip to San Antonio so I can buy one there.
That is a bummer. That is why I...
I live in Texas. It gets pretty hot here in the summer. I am truly happy too about how long ny oem battery did last.
Right now I am trying to decide between the Walmart Group 27 or the Interstate Group 31. Mainly because of my offroad lights is why I am thinking why not maybe try out Group 31...
I have oem battery which is Group 27 battery in my Infiniti QX56/80. I bought the battery brand new at the dealership on 7/16. It has lasted me almost 4 years now and still cranks ok, but it shows signs of dying. I got it checked at Autozone and they confirmed that it cranks just ok but power is...
My low beams only.
Low beams and fogs only. My fogs produce more light than my low beams, it just does not reach far out because of where my fog lights are.
Low beams, fogs and new led pods I just installed.
Low beams, fogs, new led pods and my 8.5" laser leds.
The new led light I just installed are all spot lights.
So, I went and flew my drone this night to take some aerial shots and a video. Here are some drone pictures of the light. The led is very bright. More light output than my headlights.
If I had mounted these leds at the same height point...
I agree with you. Spec sheets and websites some times exaggerate posted numbers. The only way to know for sure the true numbers is to meet someone with the machines who can measure the numbers to tell us. I am willing to meet anybody in my area who could measure this to let me know.
I have...
