Here's my Tacoma with an ever growing build thread: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/118833-Expedition-West-Heimdall-Tacoma?p=1466322#post1466322
Can anyone explain to me how I can either get rid of the thumbnails or make them links instead? I think the thumbnail is taking up the same amount of space as the full sized image so I cannot upload more pictures into a post.
Awesome truck! How much weight does your shell have to support with the RTT setup? My RTT is ~200lbs and my dad and I also around that.. so a shell that's rated for 400lbs seems a little sketchy. Did you have to reinforce the shell or is your setup light enough?
That would be awesome to do some wheeling soon. I'm also going to have time off around Christmas through the end of January. My roommate and I have been exploring the Santa Ana Mountains, but I really don't know too many places around here. It would be sweet to meet up with someone who knows...
Mike, I've watching the first few parts of the mini series and am in awe. I'm not surprised the truck did what it did, but that Expedition West wanted to go to -57 C. I guess it's good to know the limiting factor is the piece of meat behind the wheel. :coffeedrink:
I will probably do some modifications to the truck eventually. Diesel swap some day? :sombrero: Right now I'm just getting acclimated and focusing on the vitals: making sure every system is 100% ready for anything. More pics to come soon!
Mhiscox's major modification list:
Toyota Field Monitor overhead console
JVC head unit
Motorola Motonav GPS
Autometer Elite fuel gauge
JVC reciever
Engel 14 refrigerator
Speaker System
Hankook AT tires on steelies
Optima Red Top starting battery

I just started a thread dedicated to the truck and our preparations for the Pan-Am. Here is the link:

Hi everyone. I will be sharing news about my new to me, familiar to most of you, Tacoma as my Dad and I prepare to drive the Pan-Am. I will update whenever I have something interesting to share. In the mean time feel free to post questions or PM me.
I have spent so much time familiarizing...
Hi Penangtoy. I saw your post about a coffee and rig meet and greet. Let me know if there are plans in the works or where I can check for myself. I'd like to meet some OC members.
I've yet to realize exactly which owner has done what, but I would like to connect with each of them at some point. Knowing how much work has done by each owner, it's obvious that I need to leave my mark on the truck before my time with her is done. Cannot wait to get exploring!
Also I want to thank you, Scott, for building this sexy beast in the first place. I cannot wait to get my hands on the truck and marvel at all the time and effort that has been put into her.
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to this community as the proud owner of the well known Expedition West Tacoma. I will be much more involved on these forums in the following months as I now have not only a Tacoma, but also the truck of my dreams. My plans for the truck...
