Nice looking awning. Now you need some type of stress/freezing alarm to remind you to bring it in. [emoji1]
3M has a clear tint that blocks the sun (UV and infrared) without making the windows noticeably darker.
We will be replacing the tint on our front windows with clear tint at some stage...
Interesting to see the different use cases. Yours is range/$$, mine is redundancy/contamination (and range). But the crucial minimum criteria for me is that the vehicle has to be able to travel further on a tank than I can drive between bladder breaks. Pisses me off to have to stop for fuel...
I wouldn’t rule out having an auxiliary tank. It provides redundancy at the cost of an additional filter and pump. If you maintain a practice of not filling both tanks from the same place (not always possible) you can eliminate a crappy batch of fuel stopping you completely. But realistically I...
Nespresso machine multiple times per day. Induction cooktop for cooking inside. Ice machine because having known quality ice makes the margaritas a lot tastier. We also have a microwave and it is great for storing stuff in but we very rarely use it.
But the missus is considering using our sous...
3 hefty people, all camping kit, tools, 7.5KW diesel generator, 60 gallons water, 90 gallons fuel and I still have 2 1/2 ton of payload left.
Yep she is fat but it’s built for it. [emoji208]
I learnt to drive real trucks in a Diamond T with a 10 speed box (no synchromesh back then) 4 speed jockey box and 2 speed diffs. Geared to do 45 mph top speed. Pulling an early cable blade D9 on a low loader.
That’s why I love the Allison transmissions.
What I need to chase down is something like these. They are the ones for a bus and may just be the answer. Hopefully the local Detroit dealer has one in stock (wishful thinking) that I can check the measurements on before purchasing.
Alternatively I do have a friend staying with us (hiatus...
That is excellent to know about the change intervals (especially validated by sampling). I currently change mine yearly because I just don't use it enough to base it on mileage. If I go the pan modification route I will probably just do a custom pan. The old one is cast aluminum and probably...
I am in the midst of converting my Freightliner with the OM926 into 4WD. But the position and depth of the oil pan is going to cause issues.
My pan is obviously designed to allow clearance for the drop axle and it has a large belly at the front of the engine. The edge of this belly is will...
Classy looking piece of work. But I need you to explain the functionality of the switches and regulator to me.
I am guessing that you manually set the regulator and then operate the switch for either front or back. The regulator then handles the inflation/deflation. But that is a SWAG...
No failures but I am changing the centers from 6.8 overall to 5.6 overall ratio to allow for the “little” 43” tires. I also figure new seals would be a good investment when they are this far apart and at a good working height.
Time to chop the spring perch’s off.
This is going to be a PITA...
