I bought a Silky Katanaboy 500 folding saw for carrying in my Land Rover D90 - its really impressive. I tried it out cutting through an 8" diameter tree in my back yard that needed to come down and it took less than a minute.
Here in Georgia you are not supposed to use a chain saw in a National...
My Land Rover 109" diesel station wagon cost $4595 new in 1966 (I have the original window sticker). It cost more than a 1966 Corvette and not much less than a Porsche 911. So Land Rovers have always been a more expensive vehicle and that is part of the mystique. When I first fell in love with...
After over year and a half of driving around Atlanta in my D5, I'm finally seeing other Discoverys on the road regularly. I've seen three other D5's just this afternoon so it seems that the acceptance is starting to grow on the buyers. An older couple was checking mine out in the Publix lot the...
Apparently there are a lot of Porsche 356 Registry owners with Land Rovers - this 1952 Series I 80" has been in the owners family for over five decades - his father bought it back in the 1960's

My guess is "base price" will be in the 57K range - the Discovery 5 base was around $59K - but by the time you get one optioned out with all of the off road stuff we'll want it will at least be in the high $60's.
My Discovery with all of the HD options and towing package was about $71K - I...
I'm thinking about buying a Patriot X2 camper but the only thing I didn't like about it was the awning they use. Has anyone put an Alu-Cab awning on a Patriot camper?
I have a couple of friends with Alu-Cab awnings and I'm convinced they are the best ones on the market in the US. I like the...
Heystee automotive in the Netherlands has a nice disc brake conversion - its what I used on my Series IIA.
It uses standard Land Rover Defender rotors, pads and calipers

We spent last weekend running around in the Uwharrie National Forest with about 100 Land Rovers with a few Jeeps and other vehicles mixed in. Pics are here: https://solaros1.smugmug.com/Land-Rover-Events/UWHARRIE-FALL-2018-URE15/
My sister has been following this truck's build ever since I took her with me to Overland Expo East last year - she is so going to want "big brother" to buy this for her. The only thing she would change is the color (she likes Volcano).
I would recommend a Tru-Trac in the rear axle, simple to install and it gives you that extra little bit of traction that comes in very handy in real world situations. I've been running one for almost twenty years with no issues.
