    Freightliner ambulance conversion project.

That's ironic. Mine is a 1999 on a FL chassis. I'll send you a PM Bob.

    Freightliner ambulance conversion project.

I wish I could look at the Medic Master drawings. All mine came with were a laminated set of module schematics that are hooked to to the electrical panel with a stainless steel cable. I have never been able to find the user manuals anywhere. But the tip about the BlueSea switches will help in...

    Freightliner ambulance conversion project.

Yeah I thought it was very steep for a couple of switches but if I can get cruise control for under $120 I will call it a win (and it reduces Ross's bragging rights by a smidgen :) ) All I have to do is work out which of the 4 spare plugs goes to the Set Resume switch. Not as clearly marked as...

Look what $111 buys you from the Freightliner stealership!!!

Dreaming of a Perentie Turning an ex ADF 6x6 into an expedition vehicle

Depending on the compressor I would recommend running some copper out of the compressor then changing to plastic pipe. Compressed air can get bloody hot.

    1994 International 4700 Conversion Begins

If that is the one that has just been painted I would steer clear of it unless he can show you it working.

    M1078 LMTV expedition vehicle build

I'll back Charlie on this one. He may not of driven one of these but he does have a lot of real world experience. Also I have driven one. Easiest 4wd I have ever got stuck. (That includes a lot of off-road and mining trucks) A locker on either axle would of had it out easily in our situation...

Where to get a drum heat guard for syn. cable. ?

What about the covers for TIG lines. They should be about the right size and they can handle heat (well the good ones can, some will just be nylon. The other thing to consider is some the tubing used for climbing (making slings) Like THIS

    Medium Duty Ambo Interior Heights

Ouch that's still in service money. Still a lot better than a Fuso but ouch.

    Medium Duty Ambo Interior Heights

Yeah the main reason on not drawing it out to the 45 is because there are usually cupboards down both sides anyway and it is a lot stronger. You could do a mix of both and trim it back to the 45 where you want the access such as the doorways and leave it at the 90 and build in storage above the...

1991 Toyota Hilux Global Galaxy motorhome. Factory 2.8L diesel 4x4

Yep ours would bounce between potholes at 100-120 kph but getting there took forever. We did try adding a turbo to one but there were too many hassles with keeping it cool in our environment. I think that is a sweet cabin though. The pop up on the nose is an interesting concept. Might be...

    Medium Duty Ambo Interior Heights

Yeah Tony went wild with that one. I have been wondering about cutting the center block out of the roof and then doing some triangulation to mount it back up at the height required. When you consider that you don't stand up on the sides of the box as there are generally cupboards there anyway...

From Freightliner ambulance to RV - we hope!

This has me thinking back to Scooters suggestions of a removable jack. Would just need a receiver point at the front and a strong jack.

    Medium Duty Ambo Interior Heights

Apart from the headache of the wiring that runs down each side of the roof my suggestion would be to raise the roof. There are a few example here on the forum. Alternatively a pop top such as Sportsmobile do but I would be concerned about the reduction in the rigidity of the module in the case...

Trek Bicycles Powerfly FS Plus e-Assist bikes

I opened this thread with high anticipation but was quickly disappointed. My anticipation was based on the fact that I have not been able to mountain bike since suffering from a Legionnaires type virus a few years ago. This looked like an ideal way to open up my ability get back to something I...

    Medium Duty Ambo Interior Heights

I have never seem an ambo with over 72". But you can keep an eye out for the rolling laboratory type vehicles (search dirtlab ) as they generally are 72" + and also are on a medium duty chassis.

That is cool but having had a fleet of those 2.8 diesels I bet it is slow.
