I have seen an extreme case in a complex hydraulic control system that caused a similar symptom to what you are having. But this is a really far out possibility and I am loath to actually mention it as it may lead you down the garden path.
We had a system that the rams would bind on retracting...
AC clutch or idler pulley. But the cooling fan clutch is also a good candidate. Go to harbor freight and get a stethoscope and have a listen at idle to all the rotating parts you can.
Start with simple/ cheap before heading down the web inspired complex / expensive problems.
Have you worked out what axle you have at the back. The guy at AZ RV Salvage on 7th (not sure if it's Ave or St) had a few of the sterlings and also has a bunch of RV axles. Also American Truck may have something. If you pull the axle code I can point you in the right direction.
Looks earlier to me. It seems like a 75/6 from the mid 70s (73 - 76). But it looks like it has a 90s tank, fairing and front end (twin disk). It has the rounded rocker covers (/6) and not the squared off valve covers (/7). It also has the kick start gearbox which is /6 and not /7.

I am not sure I can buy into the "heat causing expansion" makes a single caliper drag theory. Even if something is heating up the fluid causing expansion it would affect both calipers on that circuit. Here are a couple of things I would consider.
1- check and see if a caliper from another...
More than likely over filled. Just drain and refil to specification and keep an eye on it. Now from memory about the only specification is for the viscosity not the amount of oil. You fill it to the level indicator of the cap. (I have a spare set of seals here because of the same issue. Bought...
This would be a great base for a big camper. (usual disclaimers. I have never seen this rig, don't know the seller so do all your own diligence)

Maybe the answer is to use an ARB but grab a couple of these type of steps so you can roll it back into the cover. I have a couple of the same bag type awnings on my land cruisers in Australia and the one on the 6 wheeler is a pain to use because of the height. I do use a stick with a hook on...
Pull your lights out and measure for the ones on the roof. Actually you can access just about all the wiring etc by pulling the ceiling lights. For the side I unbolted the cupboard near the ceiling and measured off them. But not being the sharpest tool in the shed I forgot to put markers on the...
I have been looking with envy at the A Class motor home leveling jacks. 2 on the back would be ok but I cannot work out a place to fit them on the front. Currently I have a 20t air over hydraulic jack and a set of aluminum jacking pads. Given that I haven't carried a spare anywhere yet including...
That's the same seat I run in mine. It's a bit narrow for a full sized adult and Mackenzie says it's hard on longer trips but an IKEA sheepskin fixes that.
I have both. And the Skottle was the last one purchased. The Mojoe is better for a burn meat big crowd type of event. But for us it will now be staying home and the Skottle will serve our travel and home duties.
IMHO Skottle is sufficient for up to 4 people for a full meal in the same cooking...
I will chase done a buddy in the industry and see who he recommends. He has handles all the oddball stuff I throw at him as well as about a dozen foreign travelers and their bikes/trucks/RV's.
The other obvious thing to do is keep a good track with receipts of all work done. You will need that...
I think you hit the nail on the head. It does have a AC-off-Heat switch in the back on the switch panel. It also has a 3 speed blower rotary switch. Which is marked lo-Med-Hi (it should actually be marked "you cannot feel it, maybe a little bit, the strength of a dead seagull farting") actually...
