A new thick wall window mounting solution from Tern Overland

We get requests all the time for windows that can be fitted into very thick walls. This has been a common challenge for van builders, and other custom overland builds. All RV windows are designed for 2" or less. To help out with this problem, we invested in special tooling and had a dedicated...

    New window option for vans!

We have sold a ton of our Arctic Tern windows to van builders. One question that comes up all the time is how to accommodate the wall thicknesses typically seen in finished vans. The only solutions involved a lot of fabrication. We listened, and developed special tooling to build extended...

Olympian Camco Wave 6 and the propane alarm help!

I agree about the misinformation. I posted this earlier in this thread (post#3): https://cpsc.gov/s3fs-public/CO02_0.pdf It describes the production of CO from catalytic heaters. That's why they always come with the warning to leave a window open. Regarding the atmosphere, it is stratified...

They are very similar in mechanical characteristics. The primary advantage is the easy of use. Silaprene guns like soft caulk, even at low temps. It does not require a power gun for larger jobs.

    Scare Horn

I don't know what the cost might be, but a true sonic deterrent with modulated high frequencies might be better for humans and animals both. A simple high wattage spot light can be very intimidating because it illuminates them and blinds them at the same time. That's why police use them. You...

Olympian Camco Wave 6 and the propane alarm help!

I think the chart was an attempt to make the subject understandable by those without a PhD in physics. In practical terms it is correct, because it is still the percentage as a function of gas volume. That is all your body, or stove, or engine knows. If you take a lung full of air, the amount...

The amount you need depends on the size of the bonded area. JUst figure length x width x .040" to get the volume. It is like 98% solids so there is very little shrinkage. The stuff can be cut apart. I have used a thin steel putty knife sharpened to a razor edge on the front. It's work to...

Kenny, The products that you linked are not correct. This product is Silaprene SolidBond. I will post up the correct TDS and SDS here in a bit. Retail is $19.95/tube, $17.95 in case qty of 12. We do offer OEM accounts/pricing for professional builders, so give us a call tomorrow. We are...

This adhesive should not be hard clamped. You have to maintain a minimum film thickness of .030 to get the best strength and vibration resistance. It does not come in hand squeeze tubes, just standard cartridges. I can also get it in large sausage format on special order.

We have been working with our suppliers for almost a year now to bring in a high grade polyurethane adhesive: Silaprene SolidBond . This product is a great alternative to Sika 252, with a number of significant advantages. This stuff guns easily, even at low temperatures. In testing, I have...

D rated options in the venerable 255/85-16

So I did order the Cepek Extremes and the scale weight is exactly 50 pounds. I'm surprised to be honest. I asked several suppliers for real weights and got answers from 49.6 to 58.2 pounds. I have a calibrated scale and the tires weigh 50.0 pounds These tires are only about a pound heavier...

    China build?

The only thing I can see possibly hanging you up is selling the truck here. Does the truck meet our EPA requirements? Are there any parts here? The low power and highway speed are limiters. I think walking up a dealer would likely not work so well. A better idea might be to prearrange a...
