Well it is time to clean house and put together a Disabled Explorers nest egg as part of the leadership transition.
Watch for a ton of stuff over the next few weeks...
I have a number of dvd's from Australian 4wd Action, these are video versions of the magazine that include a couple of travel...
Even with Disabled Explorers in a transitional phase there are cost and honestly I would like to have a nest egg to hand over to the new leadership (more on that soon).
So over the next few weeks you will see a real housecleaning as I try to dig out everything I can to raise some funds.
This...
Ok with the 25 year rule in effect here in the USA I really think we will see more of the 75/76/77 series cruisers coming in, kind of like the way Defenders are starting to appear.
So I as the owner of a 75 series Troopie I would like to get a thread going here on Expo to help US based folks...
Ok I did some searching and could not find an answer so I am starting a new thread.
I have the National Luna Dual Battery kit that pairs up 2 small Odyssey batteries under the hood.
Travis of Safari Pacific did a great job on the dual battery tray and starting on the small Odyssey starts the...
So continues the saga of working on the 75 series Troopie with my 13yr old...
One of the things I love about the rig is how basic & utilitarian it is, however that also translates into noisy & a poorly insulated.
Since rattles, shakes and temps can lead to driver fatigue and overall spousal...
Hello All,
I have a 1994 75 series from Australia (now happy here in Phoenix, Arizona) that has 484,000 km's on it (275,000 miles)
The injector pump is leaking, I have no idea if the injectors have every been looked at but I get smoke at startup & climbing hills.
So since my wife is the office...
Instead of having everything buried in my build thread I figured certain elements should be searchable on their own and then I will link back to the main thread.
This way others can find the info to bend their brains around the options.
Travis of Safari Pacific here in Phoenix is great to work...
Well here she is, old but new to me and with a bit of work required but all in all it should be a fun rig.
I am going to try and pace myself a bit on this one....first thing is to take care of some of the original owners stuff like de-stickering it.
Then I plan to enlist Travis of Safari...
I often get ask about a “typical” Disabled Explorers Day Trip, well the problem is none of them are ever “typical”. Our goal as an all volunteer non-profit is for the disabled participant to pick where we go, what we do and how long we stay. Not only that but recently we...
I was just contacted through Disabled Explorers by a lady who owns a Rover and her husband is disabled.
They want to go camping and I would to work with their local club so they have a solid support system after I leave.
If you are a member or know someone who is please let me know.
Thanks
Lance
Granted I love my National Luna fridge and you will get my fake leg off of me before I would give that thing up.
But there is only so much room inside so it is good to know other ways to deal with food.
Here is a great read I found out of the sailing world...
I was on a trip with Jim of RedOxx bags (killer bags by the way) and watching him fix up some amazing meals got me thinking about my own setup.
On of the things that I noticed is how he had made some custom shealths for his quality chef knives.
I liked this idea but wanted something a little...
My buddy Waymon wanted to get in an overnight outing to check the recent repairs to the Muskoka Foundations Adventure Trailer. I have been wanting to check out the Vulture Mine buildings for a possible Disabled Explorers destination and somewhere new to take my son's Boy Scout Troop. These dual...
I really dig these setups....

So I was at SEMA checking out cool stuff for Disabled Explorers and look at what I found!

Now just think what a great platform the gas-electric would...
