DII Spark Plugs and Wires - ???

Muskyman, your not being a smarty, but for clarity.... You are saying that the Bosch +2 or +4 plugs are not good in a DII However The LR Genuine Parts double platinum plugs made by Champion for the DII are OK and subsequently the OE Champion 7318 double platinum plugs are also OK. Correct? -...

New Brakes all around for my DII

Update Hi, It's been about four months since I installed these and I had a great chance to inspect the rears earlier this week while converting my SLS system to OME Coils. Both of the rear rotors show very little wear and no signs of cracking or trauma. I was also glad to see that the pads are...

    Making my Durango "baby-friendly"!

I like the idea of a flip down or maybe in your case a slide-out platform. Another option is to get an Adventure Trailer. The nose box makes a perfect changing platform and it has "Built for Off Road" durability to handle event the worst imaginable diaper!

DII Spark Plugs and Wires - ???

I have heard mixed reviews on the Bosch Platinum +2 or +4 but the Land Rover Genuine Parts plug made by Champion is called a "Double Platinum". The plugs I picked up, the Champion 7318, are the Champion OE equivelent to thier Land Rover proprietary plug and they are also call ed "Double...

DII Spark Plugs and Wires - ???

Thanks Justin, I appreciate the offer on the STI wires, I was right on the edge and almost got them. What I read about them was all positive and they seem to be a proven solution. The amount of information and testimonials for the Magnacors is significant and made the difference. Brian

DII Spark Plugs and Wires - ???

For Spark Plugs I purchased a set of Champion Double Platinum #7318. PepBoys showed them as the direct OE replacement plug from Champion. LR Genuine Plugs are also made by Champion. Hows this for a comparison, LR Genuine Champion plugs $19.10 each at the dealer. Champion #7318 are $3.49...

DII Spark Plugs and Wires - ???

I just ordered a set of Magnacor 8mm wires. There are a ton of options out there including Genuine. After a bit of research and reading I decided on the Magnacor since they have been repeatedly proven as reliable for the application. They arrive on Thursday and then the real fun begins! Brian

DII Spark Plugs and Wires - ???

Thanks David, I'm not looking to the aftermarket products for a performance gain but rather for economically reasonable pricing. It's tough to uderstand and agree with why a set of LR Genuine plug wires is $190 when I can get Magnacores for as low as $60 or even the ProLines from Rovers North...

DII Spark Plugs and Wires - ???

Thanks, I have heard of this SAI, Secondary Air Intake, correct? But I have no idea what it is. Justin, The code is only PO306 which translates into misfire in #6. From what I understand there is a separate code if the coil pack is bad. Is this correct? So what I need now is proven solutions...

DII Spark Plugs and Wires - ???

Hi, Has anyone ever replaced DII plugs and wires? What plugs and wires did you use, Genuine or other? I have a misfire on #6 and my plan is to replace all the plugs and wires. Genuine is expensive so I'm trying to figure out the aftermarket products. I have heard people talk about Magnacore 8mm...

Am I going to regret this...

I agree with switching to an AT tire and putting the sway bars back on. Perhaps add some sway bar quick disconnects to the front. Other than that you could also remove any extra trail gear that may normally live in your vehicle. Brian

New Brakes all around for my DII

Thanks, No one is being confrontational, everyone is just stating their opinions and sharing thier experiences. Nothing ever wrong with that, it's what makes ExPo a great place. This thread is meant to document and outline the modifications that I am making to my vehicle. The products I have...

New Brakes all around for my DII

Hmm, adding fluid because of the pads wearing down? Not to sure on that one, I think you may have another issue such as a leak, which would also make sense of your severe braking issue due to air in the line from the leak. I have never run into the need for additional brake fluid as the pads...
