It was time, the old shoes had worn down, chunked away and were becoming difficult to balance. Furthermore as my use of the vehicle has evolved so have its needs. The old tires were too stiff and their aging condition was becoming a detriment to traction.
After having the opportunity to examine...
I actually put them on a few weeks ago and so far they have been great. So much that I don't even think about them which I think is good for brakes!
In addition there is little brake dust.

After tearing open the package and drooling over the shiny new rotors the first step was to get the old ones off. I had never replaced rotors myself before and my research revealed horror stories of "welded on" rotors that require implements of destruction to remove. With this in mind I prepared...
Ahhh! the soothing screech of metal grinding on metal as you frantically pump the brake pedal during your approach to the crowded intersection. After 45,000 miles I decided that just maybe it was time for new brakes, not just pads but the whole shebang on all four corners of my 2001 Land Rover...

Matt is very responsive and puts a ton of thought and R&D into their products.

Thanks

How do you wash your vehicles?
What products, equipment and techniques do you use?
Waxing and buffing?
Getting rid of pinstriping?
Trim pieces?
Tires?
Engine Bay?
Thanks
Brian

This is great,
I think my biggest pet peeve when driving is watching people throw cigarette butts out the window. Especially in the dry summer with the risk of fire.
Thanks,
That is certainly an option however I would need to make any seams as hidden as possible, not too difficult I suppose.
The biggest challenge I found was the front carpeting actually going up and over the transmission tunnel and covered by the center consul.
A bit different from my old...
