It looks good and think it would work ,but i know they would not fill it in Ontario Canada . they have to read the last date of inspection that is stamped into the tank or on a welded tab . We go ten years between inspections . On up to 30 lb tanks we just recycle them and buy a new one . tanks...
Well i would point out that steel is sold by the pound and that is the main driving force behind a manufactured unit . lighter does have its benefits i agree ,but we all have seen lots of manufactured trailers that the metal has cracked around the weld . The OP will never have to be worried...
also on my van i notice this is the only compartment that is not lockable. I am thinking the tank has to be accessible in the event of a fire . Maybe you should check Propane and fire codes.
On my tank there is a little valve they throw before filling ..when full this valve blows off and release gas, think this is how they know it's full . this would need to be accessible . also there is a tag on the tank they need to read before they fill .
Hi Jacob .Followed your build ,and it has been very interesting . I settled for now,on a truck cap camper with a 4x8 trailer . When you talk about wanting to build out the van it reminds me of an old drag racer saying .( there is no substitute for cubic inches ). please keep us updated when you...
I am just building out a truck bed camper and a 4x8 aluminum trailer . the camper part is a ARE aluminum cap with full side doors and full height barn doors on the back . what I am doing is you open the back doors 90 degrees to the cap ,then pop on a new back wall with door and a floor and roof...
we need to answer your question with a question . What are you going to use it for? If you intend to modify and use it off road ,then its a bad idea. if its a tax rite off then yes its a good idea .
Hi tte30 ,I hope you will keep updating us on your trailer. at one time i had the drive and skills to do a build like you have ,but at 65 i have become a modifier . as I stated earlier after my last trailer rusted out , I vowed to go aluminum . after looking at 4x6 decided to go 4x8 . most...
sorry i chimed in about buying . I have leased and it is not for me . If the lease price is low then that means jeep is confident the the Gladiator is going to hold its value. also the allowable mileage will be low . can you tell use what the mileage allowance is ? also as others have stated...
there is a dealer in Ontario Canada selling them for 44,900 ,that's about 34,000 US dollars . it would be a plane one though . If there is such a thing! if that's a deal for you I can provide details .
Hi all, so i clicked on the greenworks box. not sure but maybe the same safety rules apply to an electric chainsaw . if you are ever certified to use a chainsaw in the work place ,one of the main rules is you never cut over your head . if the saw kicks back it is coming right back on you. all a...
Having owned diesel pickups . they are absolutely useless in the snow in 2 wd ,but put them in 4wd and you can't stop them as long as you are on hard ground . Most of the weight is on the front end . I wonder if the Ranger 2wd has more front wheel weight then back , maybe that's why ford did not...
I am glad to have run across your build . I was looking at a new jeep but after they only offers me 3 G trade in for my 09 !! I decided to have some fun with it and do some thing similar as you . I also only have 2 wheel drive ,but limited slip rear. put a set of KO2s on it and ordered a 2 1/2...
Hi I love your design and build . I have a question ,do you have the weight of the complete set up ? Maybe tong weight as well. more for the towing vehicle that could be used . also do you see a problem with an aluminum trailer designed along you style ? I am up in Canada and they heavily salt...
sorry for the slow response. I am going with an on demand hot water heater ,propane fired .it will be mounted on the outside in a box . a diesel fired forced air heater . an ARB 50 liter fridge . new electrical mostly 12 volt . if you send me an email I can send some picture . i have made a lot...
No this is the first time i have heard that there was a generator for them . I only have one outside compartment ,right behind the camper door . mine had the propane tanks inside it . I will have three outside box when i am done the conversion .
your storage bag solution looks rely useful , thinking when i final get around to good organization like this i would use labels or a tag to show whats in there . what if you just load the saw in with the sprocket or oilier port turned to the top . with it being electric you don't have to be...
so the saw does not leak oil with the bar off ?or is this a storage solution not so much as bar oil drip solution ? I am pushing hard to get my JB500 ready for the trip east . now i am working on the wiring. amazing what people do , the 110 volt plugs were hooked up by striping off some plastic...
