Should be OK. 6' 10" height to the floor (sail strip) of mine when I had it. Loved the idea of a RTT, but difficult to manage set-up and take down at that height so I sold it.
yea, the early Gen 3 are getting cheap. Similar aged LC would be 3 or 4x the price.

Timing belt tensioner.
The Serpentine belt tensioner bearing is rebuildable. Not sure how may miles are on your rig, the Serpentine belt is simple easy to replace on these vehicles. Maybe 10 minutes if you are going slowly. I did replace mine at about 120K miles. 2 idler pulleys and...
Timing belt, Tensioner, Water Pump - assuming there is no maintenance history and over 60K miles. Then access brakes, suspension components, bushings, shocks etc. regular PM for any 10 year old + vehicle. I don't keep any spares on hand for my Gen 3 except oil and air filters.
7 passengers for long rides is pretty cramped in the Montero also. Mits had them pretty sorted by the time the 3.8l was installed in 2003. Unfortunately they have disapeared from the USA market after 2006 MY. Good buys can be found. I am a bit bias however.
92 - 94 used the 9" ring gear in the lockers as these trucks including SR had the 3.0L engine, and was an option ie: my '93 SR does not have one. So if people do a swap they usually go for the 9.5" ring behind the 3.5L SR engines
I have order material - 500d for another project I think - from them (Rip Stop Buy The Roll) shipped reasonably quick and good stuff.
Looking a building this awning using Silnylon.
This is the tent I had (sold a couple weeks ago). Impressive build quality. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I every went back to a RTT. And BTW - I would never buy a RTT without an annex, or the roof flap overhang like this style.
I've been to this airport... a couple times... years ago... late at night, but thats another story. and whats so confusing? 2 hot chicks?
