Nice drawing ;)
Ok let's assume you are committed to the Anker, which I personally think is a good decision. It is a top power station today, with good 12v dc supply, and is mobile for use elsewhere. All the pickup camper shell popups are now coming wired for these. That thing does like 80%...
I've got a kit I put together for rock climbing when I was younger, where you might have hiked in and be well away from aid. Critical traumatic bleeding injuries was my fear, and still so camping and hunting. So mostly about stopping critical bleeding injuries. The items in there for I don't...
Do any of you folks know a good one that you recommend, that I can go between red and white? I see all the red blue green psychedelic ones, but I'm not looking for a party... just white for normal, and red for anti insect when tailgate is open? For pickup popup camper shell lighting.
Thx!
I guess maybe you should explain what your plan is in your cargo trailer, why your plan is to somehow get 120v back there? Are you talking shore power plugged in somewhere?
The three ways to get power into a mobile setup, are all DC. DC from your alternator, DC from solar panels, and DC...
Just in case it wasn't clear from that, if you're buying a power station, you can just plug it into 120v socket in your puckup bed that your f150 provides. It will charge at upbto 500w if the f150 supplied inverter supports that, and recharge a whopping 2000wh, the whole ac200max, in 4 hours...
You asked about the 100w dc input that rruff mentioned. He was talking about the cigarette lighter plugin that the Bluetti ac200max has, and most all cars have. You also asked about,
This isn't quite right, it is that power stations recharge slowly when plugged into a car's standard available...
https://www.mobile-solarpower.com/simplified-400-watt-fewer-wires-and-alternator-charging.html
Look at the link in there to renogy all in one dc dc unit. It does solar charging, alternator charging, battery isolati9n, smart alternators, charges both start and house batteries, and all types...
Running a fridge in the bed of a truck, is the #1 most answered mobile electrical question I'd bet. There are hundreds of threads describing all the ways to do it, if you search a bit. I'm not dissing you, just saying there is lots of good reading material for you on this, already typed :)...
Now I'm confused ;)
We should use the same terminology:
Receptacle= socket= female
Plug= male= pronger-thing
Inputs are male OR female? connections on power station that accept electricity at various voltages and amperages. They lead to a charge controller in there, that limits the input in 2...
Sounds like you are getting some great numbers on your fridge, congrats!
OP said he was getting an ARB. Most of them are 60 qts or larger. All the fridge tests I see online, where guy actually hooks up a watt meter and power station, and video tests them, give 35w to 60 w when cooling, then 13...
Just making a thread here similar to those for other truck pop up campers, for folks to post their builds. I have gotten a ton of ideas and enjoyment from build threads for Ovrlnd, Project M, Topo, etc. The Tune M1 is a new in 2022 shell with full popup, characterized by flared vertical sides...
I'm bored, so to summarize :)
Get a 20A minimum ac to dc convertor of good efficiency. Just plug it into a 15A socket for 1800w dc (or 1700 really due to losses). If you want 2200w, cut the plug off the convertor and wire on an rv30 plug... I wouldnt though. I would just get a 15A convertor...
2 and 3. Your Anker actually has UPS, basically when it is plugged i to AC, and it has a load drawing on it, it will use the AC from shore power in a "pass thru" method, only switching to its battery within 10ms if ac power is lost.
Please watch this test video of your system, specifically at...
Definitely go LiFePo4, it is better in all respects. Prices have come waay down. Lasts 10x longer, charges faster, allows full rated charge use instead of 50%, batteries have integrated Battery Management Systems allowing you to tailor your charge profile to give 20x life vs AGM, much faster...
