Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

The old Land Cruiser FJ60's used a separate reservoir with the pump built in. It was a simple setup but effective. I am sure you could add an additional pump the the OEM reservoir. However as the current pump is built in I would look at a spare unit to drill and test on. It may be just adding an...

Some Land/ Range Rovers have heated washer jets for the headlights. Here is the LR3/LR4 part. https://www.roverparts.com/electrical/wiper-assembly-electrics/LR048615G/ I am sure you could source it else where for a discount, but that is the part. Also there are a few companies that make...

Actually that floor jack is a Pro Eagle https://www.proeagle.com/ and they claim it is for off road. 1.5 ton is like $419 so not a cheap jack by any means. I do not know if I would use it or have it mounted on the side of my vehicle like that.

Yes they are beefy, well done on the design it really is the real deal. The 4Runner that hit my tire hit on the lower portion of the tire and some scuffs to the rim. the tire (a 33") was not damaged and took the brunt of the impact force making it like a giant rubber bumper. That saved my son...

I can say two things about the hinges and the tire carrier. Both are solid and both are awesome. I have the hinge support as well. I was rear ended at about 25-30mph (was was not moving). The tire carrier had to be replaced, but the hinge support saved my rear door from being replaced as the...

Awesome. My feedback. Olive Drab they should release this color at the same time. On the trail, black gets far to dusty and ends up being brown very quickly. It just look dirty after 1 mile. (my current bag is black and I like it very little) The olive drab will not show the dirt as much and...

The BRONCO is a business opportunity.

I like the humor in this, and after seeing one on Engineer pass with the hood open as it was overheating, it may actually be a real thing. LOL

Yes but come-a-longs do not have motors (torque) or solenoids that can jam open and run. So ya.

    Tool Overkill?

Well I use to carry way to many tools and crap. Recovery gear I carry just about double of most items, but I have slimmed down these days. Tools, WAY down, now I carry 1 tool roll (yes an ATC roll LOL) filled with basic hand tools that fit my vehicle's main bolts and nuts. Only metric as my...

Also built like a tank. Lightweight in comparison to a winch yes. Lightweight......well that depends on the model. I have a TU32 and with rope it is 109 lbs. That said, the best for portability. Front, back, trailer, buddys vehicle etc, nothing needs to be mounted (other than a point to hoist...

Basic review TrailFX Jeep JK Roof Rack

So I took the RTT off over the weekend and a few days driving to work and back, this 55 miles one way and a mix of back country paved roads and interstate, so I was able to get a good idea on the wind noise. When I first put the rack on, anything over 40MPH was completely brutal. The noise was...

Basic review TrailFX Jeep JK Roof Rack

I do not review items very often or if ever so if this is a mess sorry for that. Also I have zero affiliation with TrailFX, I paid for this with my hard earned cash. So I was looking for a roof rack for my JK that would not: Cost a lot Require drilling Require modifications to my Jeep After a...

    Receiver Shackle Advice Please

So I have the Factor 55 one (it was old stock from my company and yes US made). I had the solid steel one from made by someone else, however it walked away one day. The steel ones with a soft shackle will not work unless they have been milled with rounded edges. the Factor 55 unit is rounded and...

So one thing I would do is question Auxbeam on in these are DOT compliant. I highly doubt they are as they only have 12 items on their web page that are. Secondly I would read this well written article from Guru Daniel Stern...

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

The problem with the Jeep is that the headlights are slightly recessed, so snow gets in there and starts to pack in. reducing the light output. Simple heated wire on the headlight would resolve this and quickly. Many companies like Truck-Lite and Quadratec's heated LED's have this in their...

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

FCA at the very least, should have a service recall out for any jeep sold in a cold and snowy/ icy climate. I am surprised their has not been a class action lawsuit over this yet. I put the Mopar LED's into my JK and after 1 winter I quickly removed them as they were a hazard in the snow. They...
