yeah I ran my coffee maker just fine off the genny all summer, I just dont like firing it up in a campground that early.. im usually one of the first ones moving about, so I wanna make my coffee in quiet and then run the generator later to recharge the battery.. but I do agree with you, take it...
if you dont have any AC appliances you wish to run you dont needa inverter, mine is mostly to power my Coffee Maker or recharge my dewalts (a sawzaw w/a nice long ugly blade can make short work of a pile of limbs).. it depends on if everything you need off battery is DC already.
The onboard...
thats still not an inverter, thats your onboard charger/power supply.. you do not possess any inverters, an inverter turns DC voltage into AC voltage.. all u got is stuff that turns AC voltage into DC.. an inverter is what people use so they can run TV's and other 120v appliances off a DC power...
buy batteries locally if you can, you going to mail it back to amazon if it fails in warranty? you end up paying a ton for shipping.
get a FLA, they are far more durable overall than SLA for an expo trailer usecase.. SLA's are just likely to fail sooner and cost more unless you coddle the darn...
thats the same vac powered fuel pump as the honda generators use.. $30 on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Honda-16700-ZT3-013-Pump-Assy-Fuel/dp/B00AJTJSQE
as long as the fuel hose inlet in the fuel tank is lower than the carb then the resulting siphon would drain the carb into the larger tank once the pump/generator shut down and then the siphon would be quickly broken because there's not much fuel in the carb.. thats assuming there's no check...
no full size spare to swap it out with? If not id replace em, those sidewalls look like they been through hell even w/out the rock damage.. if your airing down, you may be going a bit too far.
there's nothing to rearrange, anything not part of the trailer is already at the back cargo ramp.. if i had a large rear engine toy or a few dirt bikes I could take some weight off tongue.. its not this trailer too, I looked at ton of travel trailers. pretty much every single one once you put LP...
without toys in it but outfitted im likely around 4klbs, yet >700lbs on tongue.. which is more tongue weight than most vehicle rated for 4k-5k can handle.
well I think height at this point limits capability for me, top of the roof is 11ft off ground and the roof bars take alot of tree branches and stuff when going down paths less traveled.. if it were not for the roof racks the aircon woulda lasted me about a month before getting taken out by a...
InTech trailers are fully welded aluminum chassis/frame, and come with torsion axles and nice AT tires.. Overall Quality is an order of magnitude above anything I seen from ForestRiver.
Ive got the biggest one they ever made and have dragged it over a few gravel passes and many forest...
another reason the HIT's and house panels work better in partial shading conditions, they have internal diodes.. the HIT has 4 internal diodes so its basically like 4 smaller panels in one big frame.. if a shadow from a branch comes over it then the panel's output is just reduced by 1/4 instead...
eh, even most historical expeditions coulda been considered Glamping by modern standards, the only reason they didnt make a sherpa carry a generator is because nobody had invented one yet.. you can bet your sweet asses the early explorers woulda brought electricity if they had it available to em...
The drivetrain is still wound up just now its wound up at the differential and not the tire, typically when your driving at speed in a straight line your diff is not doing anything.. its basically fixed, if you turn one side might start spinning very slightly faster, the diff will start doing...
@thardin68, you need a MPPT controller thats capable of handling the voltage, it regulates it down to your charge voltage.. ~28.5v for you.. your going to need this regardless of what panels you get.. 24v panels or 60v panels you still need a controller that can do 24v and cant just hook em up...
get a 100ft 10awg extension cord from HF and its far enough away that even in a tent it will be far more tolerable, stuff it behind a rock or tree and it makes it real quiet.. you already got the genny, put it to use.. I recently converted from tent camping and camped at tons of sites and almost...
i can hardly hear my 2200 honda inverter on the end of a 100ft extension cord when its just charging my lipo battery @ 45A, if its running aircon its a bit more audible than the aircon its self and inaudible inside the trailer.. my 100A lithium lasts me a few days and then the genny fully...
