First Foray into 4Runners - My 1st Gen Build

Hands down the best looking 1st gen out there. If anything, it's got to be one of the best transformations I've seen. Color choice of each trim piece is perfect! Well done.

    Are 285s worth it?? Update

Our 5th Gen has the stock 265s on 17s and I was debating going up to 285s. I know I'd be smarter if I just kept stock since It's the classic, Well while you're at it.... Increase tire size to 34", then regear front and rear, then add front and rear air lockers (since' you're already in there)...

    International Jeep Overland Discussion

I like this plan, especially as a whole, but I do agree with the least amount of modifications as possible/practical.... which is super hard to constantly stay convinced of. lol One day you're like, nah I don't need a lift. The next day, well a couple inches shouldn't hurt anything. lol

'99 Land Cruiser 90 Series diesel (Canada - JDM import)

Man I love following your build. Such a cool rig with tasteful additions! You have me wanting to look into those Camp Chef storage systems.

    Suspension makeover

Haha just kidding. But for real, what's the goal? Carrying your family and all your camping gear while towing your camper? If that's the case, I'd do the simpler, stiffer, suspension that will suit you and your families primary needs, getting safely and comfortably (all while driving something...

    Suspension makeover

You should totally ditch the lift and put some tiny car tires on it.

    1981CJ8 Scrambler Overlander Build

As everyone else said, gorgeous. I love how you kept the original styling with the simple front bumper, lights, and... is that a PTO Winch? Just Gorgeous. That'll be a fun camping and exploring rig!

    A Different Type of Build

Looks great! What made you make the switch? I have a friend with a 2019 T4R Pro that just traded it in for a Tundra as well. He loves his decision so far! **Edit... I just realized your initial post of the truck was from 2017. My bad. But still!

    Tex's 2019 GX460 build

Man that is not what you want to happen. Super frustrating. Probably half of the accident stories I hear of down here include uninsured drivers at fault. It's a sad reality.

    Bear, our 2016 JKUR

Before the bumper, the week after Christmas, my wife and I took the Jeep to Moab again to finally hit up Hells Revenge, more of the White Rim Trail and to go for the Top of the World trail.... we couldn't do any of it. The first day we got there, it snowed, heavy! We stayed in a little...

    Bear, our 2016 JKUR

I finally obtained the foglight brackets for the bumper and got everything installed and wired up. While taking pictures though, I realized I may have used too high of a wattage on the marker bulb as the amber lens is starting to melt away. One more thing to fix. You can definitely see the...

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

If it was just replaced... I would think whoever did it would take another look at it. AC wise... ugh. Been there done that enough times. If it needs a recharge... means it has a leak. There's a chance you may only need to replace one component though and not the whole thing if it's caught early...

    Bear, our 2016 JKUR

Thanks! Yeah, I lost 1/4" of height in the front and I can definitely feel the extra weight over bumpers and such. I can't imagine how much more a winch would do to the handling characteristics though. Do you think the OME Heavy springs were what you needed or would the Sport ones have...

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

Go Frogs! My wife graduated from there and I was up there every weekend for games and shenanigans all four years. Beautiful campus in the best city in Texas and a mascot that shoots blood out of its eyes. I mean that's kinda cool. lol Glad to hear the Jeep is continuing along too!
