I have read most of this thread but haven't seen the answer to my question so gonna ask it here.
How many miles is considered "too many" to invest the time and money into a conversion? I know the business answer will always be never too many miles but there comes a point where there has to be a...
The fit and finish on this one is amazing! That along with the little cool details like the G10 guard make it the best one you have posted on here so far. Great job!
I looked long and hard for a clean 4x4 van under $15k before I gave up and bought a 2WD. The ones I found were either too old or way too expensive. I almost had two different Chevy AWD vans but both were sold before I could get to them. Not as good as 4WD but may be enough for you. Not a lot of...
Cut the foam mattress down to 50" wide so it will fit my platform. Crap Black and Decker electric bread knife worked ten seconds before screwing up. Had to hold one blade still with my thumb so the other one could go back and forth to finish the job. No cuts or lost thumbs!
Very comfortable...
I don't have a ton of info to help with but I do know that propane is heavier than air so if you mount it in the bed make sure to make a vent at the bottom so it won't build up. You could build a sealable storage box with bottom vent inside the bed that would help protect it from damage and...
My IPad has been screwing up and the autocorrect is going crazy. I am not sure what word I was trying to type but it was not alarming. Fixed it. Mainly just meant strong side is how I carry.
The cools thing about rigging it in an X is that you can carry either vertical or horizontal depending...
1) There are a bunch of different products and recommendations for taking care of a knife. My way is very simple. Clean it with soap if it is really nasty then coat with olive oil. If not then just wipe down with a paper towel with olive oil on it. I always wind up cutting food with my knife...
My wife bought a Subaru Forester last year and it has worked out great for the around town car and long trips where we are in a hurry. I liked it so much I decided to get rid of my Tacoma after owning several different ones for the last 15 years. I bought a 2WD E350 passenger van and must say I...
Interesting to see how this thread goes. Last fall I bought a 2004 E350 passenger van to replace my full outfitted 1st gen Tacoma. While I would love to throw a Ujoint 4x4 conversion under it, I do not have the funds to do so and if I did would rather spend it on gas.

Thanks!
I got pretty lucky today and found an 8" Spa Sensations Queen at a local close out store. They do scratch and dent Walmart reject stuff. This one had a tear in the box but no damage at all to the mattress. I wanted the 6" mattress but for $89 I couldn't pass on the deal. Ordered a...
I remember being really pissed that I missed out on the kick starter campaign! Glad I did now. Sorry to the folks on here that got screwed.
I will take a look at the quick fire now. Thanks for the link.
I am planning on something similar. I want space for some extras and also a place to lay out under the stars so it would have to be full length for the Van.
I don't have a ton planned right now as I am focusing on the interior first but I do know that we used to have two big guys on top of...
We took the Van on a small road trip up to see my wife's mom and take some extra crap we had for her to store. It sure was nice to pull up in a rest area, climb in the back in bed, and be asleep within a couple minutes. 6 hours of good sleep later we were fully refreshed to continue. Took a side...
I have the Cooper St Maxx's on my truck in 255/85r16. I have not had a problem with them. What is the problem? Supposed to be too heavy and mess with the suspension?
I have about 20k miles on mine. Driven across the country and back in them. Make less noise than the old BFG AT's I had before...
