It looks like Amazon may be clearing out the lightweight model. Cadac website pictures the HP version. There are 2 versions. $76 compared to $90 - may go with the HP, if it is the newer, better version.

That's what I was wondering. The photos of the 2 models are different - leg position seems different. Want to be sure to get the best one.

So, Amazon lists 2 different models - lightweight and 6541HP. Are these actually the same thing? Prices are $76 and $90. On the Cadac site, there is only one model shown. Help!!!

Complete waste of money. Return it if you can. They just whistle and give you a tiny bit more off the line throttle response. No MPG gain.

Thank you for sharing this great trip and all of the photos. I am working on a plan to loop down through Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico, then hit the Western States on the way back to WA. This is awesome inspiration. :)

I just decided to go with a full roof rack, after selling my utility/camp trailer. I have an Offroad Logic Safari Rack on the way from a local buddy. I can't wait to get it installed.

I did have the plan to lower the mounting to just above my ORH top. Wish you were closer.

Just talked to Paul at Wild Boar. He confirmed that 2-3 MPG loss is about average with any non-hardtop mounted rack. That sucks. Have to do some thinking now.

I am real close to ordering a Wild Boar Fastback Rack. Now I am pretty concerned about the MPG loss. Have to rethink this.
