I've owned LCs and LRs picking up my G next week. I got 12-15 mpg on all of those as well. Loaded up I think they're all similar. 80,100, D2 & RRC. Not saying it doesn't hurt, just saying they're all close.

Correct me if Im wrong but the RRC and D1 share a bunch of part with the D110... Nobody is asking if those will still be supported. I dont think you will have a problem for the next 10-20 years.

If you really want to do the work yourself and are budgeting it just find a D2 for 3-5K. They are all over the N CA CL. Youre not that far. And Im sure there are plenty in OR and WA as well. Find one that has a leaky HG and redo everything. As far as the cooling system goes all of those...
