To the OP, have you expanded your search to Alberta, assuming you’re kijijing there are way more trucks here. Flight, fuel and hotel might be worth the difference. Oh and lots of 3/4 and 1 ton trucks from 10 years back don’t really have that great of a payload either. My 2006 Dodge 3500 SRW is...
I was looking at the same thing 3 years ago and here in Alberta the Lexus was cheaper then a comparable 4Runner. Also higher roofline for better head room and visibility. Now if only I didn’t smash it up last winter. I averaged 17.9 mpg over 50k miles, similar to a 4Runner or fjc I’d imaging...
Doesn't that make it a HZJ73? Or is it the unicorn with the bj front end and cable lockers? Either way good luck with the sale, it's a nice looking truck.
For what it's worth this is my experience with the 2006 dodge 3500 cummins.
Every one that I've known to have injector problems also had a chipped/ tuned truck. Most have been tuned because of the massive power increase available with minimal cost.
the front end and front drive shaft are wear...

Yes the main difference between a 2500 and a 3500 srw is the GVWR. I think 8800 to 9990 lbs. truck is over 7000lbs. Take 4 adults, full tank of fuel and a quad in the back and you're pushing legal. That's why I went 3500.
"Off road" means a lot to different people. If you mean exploring/...
I have a 2006 3500 diesel, look at the 3500 because of the extra 1000lbs payload. Still srw short box. 210000 miles. Front end every 100k, drive shafts every 50k. Lots of people claim 20mpg, if you drive 60 you'll get 18. Empty. 24mpg is 800 miles a tank. Maybe 550 to a tank is realistic. So for...
