I have been seriously considering going to look at this one but leaning towards a pass now. Main downsides for me: The pass through is small and awkward. Bed is small for two. It has a towing hitch on it for only 2500# for some reason, I think it should be able to tow more with a hitch...
I have been looking at this Chinook noticed they did drop price this week. What do you guys think about a 4x4 conversion on this unit? Is the Glacier too long for departure angles? I found a few Glacier build outs on google images not sure if it's a good idea. I really do like the layout...
Only lasted a couple of hours on this one - I searched Sunday morning and did not see it! I want rig big enough to tow samurai & boat not sure the 97 square body 2500 is best fit (maybe without the provan body and all my junk inside). I think a 3500 would make me feel better. I do the like...
would be really sweet if it was a 7.3 but still awesome low low miles.
there is some interesting looking lab equipment included.... wonder how much government spent on it originally?
also find it funny they have picture of sink with new lotion and soap. such a selling point.
Seems pretty nice with the upgrades. I wonder if the 5.4 is enough engine for upgrades especially if you build out 2000# more weight.

I'm not sure if I see the value here but cool rig for sure.

This could make the ultimate build. The swat box is really pretty cool.

Could be a sweet build it's no 4x4 but entry price is low low. I know that is a good quality box I had a Timpte dump bed they made with fold down sides it outlasted the truck.

Bump... This is a great deal and Kyle is a great seller to work with. Almost worked for us and Kyle was great to deal with! I would encourage everyone to take a deep look at this unit and the all the great upgrades. I'm surprised it's lasted this long!
I would have hard time choosing between this or the overlander unit at similar price. IMO Build quality of Born Free probably better but Overlander has better stance and layout.
Zip - I was trying to figure that out too!!
How much is a phoenix box without a truck ?
I know it's cool to have a million stickers when you get to put them on but really I don't want to buy almost $100k rig laden in your stickers! I put my stickers on my coolers instead of my vehicles :)
Early in my contracting years I had a 1993 7.3 idi in f350 dually flatbed. Bought it from a rancher with 395k on it he had it listed for $2500 told me I sounded like a nice young fella if I picked it up today it was $1000. Took the bait and man nothing on that ford truck worked but the engine...
Cool rig but at this price point I'd choose something different!

I guess you save about $35k without a 6" lift and a Duramax :) It is listed on many craigslist cities so maybe a scammer proceed with caution. They may have just mass-advertised it.
