    Martin Canyon/Smiley Rock Trail Rehab

Mark, do you have a rough guess on the amount of people coming? I ask because if I camp at Potato Patch I will need to come in reverse of the prefered travel direction. With not much room , if any to turn around in Martin Canyon I/we my need to come in from the Jerome side. Also how long do you...

Is a handheld HAM worth it?

Another plus for the handheld would be the ability to hike up to a peak or ridge if you are down in a valley and are in need of contacting somebody.

Overland Rally: Expeditions West Announces Regional Overland Rallies

This sounds like something I need to do.:wings: Hollister Hills is my old stomping grounds, the motorcycle side mostly. I used to run my '82 Toyota 4x4 out there as well. I haven't seen the place since I left Santa Cruz in '93. I'll keep watching this thread as the info comes in.

Lifting: what is your current program?

I'm in the gym 3 days a week for the last 3 years. Mostly freeweights. I stick with the basics - squats, deadlifts, and bench. I will throw in other exercises such as curls, triceps, shoulders. I use different variations to keep the muscles guessing. I will also change my routine every 4 - 6...

    KM2's on national Backorder??

It's more to do with the more popular sizes I think. I finally got my new 285/70/17s last week. I had to wait 4 months as there were none to be had anywhere. I checked all the on-line stores as well as the local shops. It seems that BFG did not realize how popular these tires were going to be. I...

    KM2 Review

I have approx. 33k on mine and I would guess to get another 5k out of them. I have rotated every 5k and the wear has been good. I will be getting another set just as soon as BFG gets them made. My tire guy called BFG yesterday to see what the time frame is. They have started production as of...

Yes it is open carry, but if now if I need to wear a coat or some other clothing that would have covered my open carry I won't get busted for having a concealed weapon without a permit.

Two off-roaders fined, sentenced to probation for Lake Tahoe damage

Really?...... Just because it's a OHV area doesn't mean you can go all willy-nilly and make your own "trails". This is a quote from the website below. "The Angeles National Forest provides 364 miles of designated OHV routes (roads). Because of the many different uses of the Forest and the...
