You'll probably want to do rear cam seals once you're in there. They're inexpensive, $10 or so. Also, if you're doing the timing belt, it'd be a good time to do the water pump as well since most of the junk will be out of the way to access it.

Great looking montero! I have a 97 as well, I believe we have the first year they put the 4.27 gears in, so yours must feel pretty bogged with 15x10 steel wheels and 33's. You should look into swapping the 4.6 or 4.9, I'm pretty sure there's a few guys on here who have some experience with it.
