    El Jeepe!

So here's an update on the progress of the camper. First it got pressure washed and everything was taken out and cleaned. We re-glued all the trim on the tables and cabinets and fixed a small water leak. Now for the big stuff-the front fascia! A bear busted the old one out and thankfully...

Is a stock Sport ok for Overlanding??

The Jeep brand has world renowned off road capabilities. A box stock fresh out of the factory can conquer the Rubicon trail. its one of the biggest selling points. Sure, modifications will make it easier, more capable, and give more piece of mind. But if it can do the Rubicon stock, how much...

moabian- I'm hopelessly in love with Scramblers.....they're so beautiful, and yours is absolutely mint with a great story to go with it! I drool over your pictures all the time, do you mind if I save one for my computer background? :sombrero::drool::drool::drool: Comanche Scott- Awesome...

moabian- Some of us don't have the good sense to use proper judgement!:********: Its too much fun! Its kinda like driving a boat, but its stickshift! Besides, the bugs are only bad in the evening. ZMagic97- I'm hoping (although my hopes may be different from the demographic buying this truck)...

Oh, the bugs are brutal. Beetles and bees by far hurt the worst, especially above say, 35. But the gnats are a pain driving near water at dusk, you have to clean your glasses off there's so many! And unless you're on a protein only diet I would strongly recommend keeping your chomper shut...

    El Jeepe!

Camper flex I just let it putz down our half mile driveway in low 1. Turns out El Jeepe doesn't like towing things. If you so much as look at something that resembles a hill she wants 3rd or else. And the Jeep does a little bit of the humpy dance going down the freeway. Gotta love...

    El Jeepe!

Today I rescued my other baby, our little 8ft Coleman popup we got at the same time as my Jeep. A bear busted out the front fascia so I have some aluminum to fab a new one. Hopefully there's no water damage but if so I have to fix that. I would've brought it home much sooner but our bridge...

    El Jeepe!

The struggle is real, but I also know I would adjust how much crap I carry to the amount of storage I have. So even if I had a minivan I'd still have no room for anything :********:

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

You want the SWR of your radio to be as low as possible with 1 being ideal. Anything above that and your radio is not operating as efficiently as it could be. A reading of one is virtually impossible without a 102" whip. The reason those are so efficient is because that is the length of the...

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

Really clean install, looks great. Must be nice to have the radio somewhere you can actually hear it haha. 5 ft antenna? I wish I could help ya with the antenna. I even bought an SWR meter to tune it and still can't get it below 2.5. We tuned it by ear once and cranked over 5 miles in terrain...

    El Jeepe!

Update on the Long Dong, we slammed some Poison Spider rock rails under it and it has new shoes too! 31x10.5 KO2s and new pro comp wheels! The rockers were harder than mine to install because you had to undo the body mounts and cram them underneath but unlike me he doesn't have a bunch of...

    El Jeepe!

Some more stuff on the Jeep I forgot to post earlier. I put in a skyjacker steering stabilizer to match the shocks I got (that I got so the shocks would match the lift) I also had to put in a new starter/solenoid after the incident in the mud..... Wasn't too happy about that but its always...

    Jeep Pickup pics

Very true, you do see way more jeeps with stuff bolted on the hinges, ect than you do the windshield down. Will be interesting to see what they come up with. And I thought the TJ windshield was a pain to fold.....that sounds ridiculous even without the curved glass...

Sorta off topic but I'd love to see an aftermarket to make the windshield foldable if the rumors are true that its fixed. First traditional "Jeep" ever without it.....

    El Jeepe!

Last camping trip with my buddy before he mover to St. Louis. You may recognize the red yoder from the earlier pictures, and if you look closely you might wonder if it's the same truck as the old rusty green one in the early posts. You wonder correctly! The old rustbucket was my friends truck...

jpat30, 2drx4, Praise! Why can't you go get a bare bones Jeep with the beefy 4x4 and half doors and vinyl seats? Why can't you order a Sport with the Rubicon running gear? Wouldn't that make sense, to make a no frills, utilitarian version with heavy duty running gear? Why do we have to pay...

    El Jeepe!

I'm jealous of myself, these babies are sweet......Yeah, I wish they carried that over but at least I just have plain old steelies I can touch up if they get scratched. Something I'll keep in mind if I buy new rims though, since I RUB EVERYTHING OFF ROAD.....

Excellent points, and I also agree with the above. I think Jeep was smart to stay out of the very competitive full size market, and offering it on the Wrangler chassis should put a small 4x4 pickup back in the market. Ever since Toyota dumped the single cabs everything is huge......And to have...
