We use it all the time. My wife doesn't mind either. My pop up is large enough to actually go in clothed, shower, and dress. We keep a small table next to it for towels and stuff. We never really mind showering outdoors, but then, we are miles from anyone or anything.

I have the outdoor shower and use it on every trip. We just bought one of those porta-potty pop up enclosures. I can't speak for the indoor shower, but I know that I like not having to take it down after every use.

Make sure the top end (head gasket) is solid, go through the cooling system, then see if you can locate a supercharger. Go over on MUD. Tons of guys have superchargers on their 80's/450's.
