What’s new you may be thinking? The fiberglass visor over the top of the windshield! I have wanted one of these since I bought the truck back in 2009. They are really hard to come by, and stupid expensive when they do come up. Sadly it is not the cool Lund brand with built in lights. Heck it is...

The truck was originally 3 five foot driveshafts. When I moved the axle and shortened the frame I went to 1 five foot axle and an 18” stubby axle with slip joint and support bearing. I wasn’t too sure about it when I did it, but 90k miles later with no vibration or driveline issues, I am good...
Big job today! Drive shaft support bearing time! The rubber was dry rotted and deformed from the weight of the driveshafts.
The old
The disassembly
Bearing removed
All back together
Time for a beer!

Here it is installed

I have two 55 gallon tanks, it will only draw off of one.
Picked up some metal for my shower pan
A little spot welding
Test fit before cutting the floor out
Damn this floor is over built! Plasma cutter time!
At 1800 RPM the engine is pretty darn quiet. I mean no louder than the old Onan. Plus I already carry 110 gallons of diesel. I am half way to my idea, just need to buy a belt driven generator head. The big difference also being how much lighter this set up is, basically half the weight of the...
Time to update the generator.
First had to remove the monster from its cave.
Some mock up of the new setup. It will be a belt driven generator. I am going to build a shelf for the batteries over the generator head.

Looks like a great time! I need to get mine out camping, but it has been freezing here. You have the one part on your truck I have been searching for. The fiberglass visor over the windshield! I am officially jealous...

Just opening and closing the door when it is raining out. It has gotten pretty wet and had to take it apart a few times over the years.

None at all, it has been there for years. If I had to do it again, I would have mounted the lock on the wall beside the door so it didn’t move when I opened the door.
