The Old Wood Hauler: 1983 Toyota 4WD Build/Restoration

Took the bed off today and pressure washed 30 years worth of mud. Whole truck probably weighs 50lb lighter. Need to buy some paint tomorrow to clean everything up. My add a leaf came today and the bilsteins should be here tomorrow. Sure is a lot easier working on the rear suspension with the bed...

    Derek's 'BST' Tundra Build

Thanks for the comments. Since I live in CA I had to keep all the cats, no way around that here. I had wheel spacers on the front, 1.25" spidertrax. I took them off because I was always afraid something would break on them since I wheeled that truck pretty hard. I say don't use them if you can...

Yep the 100 series snorkel fits the 1st gens, as well as the ARB bumper for the 100 series fits with some tweaking.

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Nice choice on tires! Might as well stick with made in japan label. Other than being HEAVY they wear very well and grip well in all conditions.

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

As others said, can't wait to see your progress. One thing I did not like about removing my rear seats in my tundra is it got really loud. It's amazing how much sound the rear seat absorb. I even had my whole truck sound deadened and it was hard to talk. But there was a lot of room when the...

    seanpistol's 01 Tundra

That's a nice front bumper. Still waiting on allpro to give us a hint of what they are working on for us. About the switches I used the ash tray area. There are pics in my build thread. I had a kc headlight light switch bracket already and it fit the ARB switches perfect and it fit where the ash...

    2006 1st-Gen Tundra Doublecab Build

Good to hear about the boss kit. I just got back from a 1500 mile road trip around oregon and my boss kit on the sequoia worked great, even on the dunes. About the boots, have you tried hose clamps around the ends where the boots attaches to the diff? After having grease all over the place with...

Show us your Toyota 4runner, tacoma or truck.

Just took that road yesterday on my tw200 and I'll have to agree. Awesome road and area, even if it was 95 degrees!

The Old Wood Hauler: 1983 Toyota 4WD Build/Restoration

Got it all back together. Rides really nice and drives great even with swaybar removed up front. Rebuilding the front axle is one messy long job. Hope I don't have to go back in there again. There's one large speed bump by my house I hit all the time at some speed, soaks it up much better but I...

    Derek's 'BST' Tundra Build

Oops, sorry all. Read threw my thread which I realized I didn't get back with pictures on a couple of request from others, sorry about that. Looks like it was the power steering fluid reservoir I moved over, not the ABS unit.
