Yeah, i love simple things. I have missed the old style vinyl floors and hand crank windows and full gauges. I was happy to find that i could find a newer truck that took me back to the basics. Not a daily driver and im excited to see what it becomes.
After selling my Tacoma to focus on finishing grad school im back with a new project. Just picked up a 2005 Tundra single cab long bed work truck edition 4x4. 135k. And, a HUGE 8 foot bed!
Truck has manual hand crank windows, a vinyl floor instead of carpet, cruise control, a full gauge...
YEP. Rub it in! Had to choose, toys or grad school. Hopefully when done with grad school employment options will lead to lots more toys!!!
Regarding the SPOD and clutch reservior, nope, didnt have to move it, in fact it bolted perfectly into two exisitng threaded holes in the fender wall at the...
SOLD-SOLD-SOLD

Sold my truck and no longer have any use for this trailer. Excellent condiiton.
This is an M101A2 that was purchased through auction. I have converted the title from a Govt title to a WA State Title.
I have removed the wood sides...
Hmmm. Ill take a pic of mine and post. Are the rear ones perhaps swapped with the front ones by mistake (assuming with post size this is even possible?)?
I personally have found them to be placed just right and the seats fit my height very well. Maybe they have changed them since my 07 was built?
Which model did you drive? TRD seats are much nicer. I have never had the problem you describe and I'm 6'3". I'm curious why the headrest was so far forward.
I always hate these kinds of situations as it makes me wonder what else the idiot who put that shifter back wrong also got their hands on!
Glad it was a "free" fix, lovin the thread.
Now that I can understand....pitting at the bead due to corrosion and causing a poor bead seal. Thanks for clarifying. I can see how that could be a problem, even if washing regularly, salt buildup in the seam of the bead could cause advance corrosion that you cant really even see...........
Yeah, I like the ideas presented here. whats the progress?
I can relate to the delays with two small kids at home, work limitations, and working on completion of grad school as well.
It is so strangely agrivating to have the funds to buy the crap I wanted several years ago, but now that I...
I really like how these steel wheels were painted:

Looks like they would be fairly well protected.
Intersting. I have not experienced bad corrosion on an aluminum alloy wheel. I have experienced signicant rust on steel powder coated wheels. Both on the same roads, differen vehilces.
Just saying, but if you live in a climate where they actually salt the roads, chances are you are not washing...
All-Pro did them. I am not that creative! I painted and bolted them on. Check out their website to see what it looked like before they were bolted on.
Enjoy!
Do you live where they salt the roads?
If yes, I would opt out of the steelies. Rust will catch up to you no matter if you can run up a hill and hide, it will catch up to you!
In that case AR Mojave Teflons. The no rust sollution.
