    Communication options

My area 90% of the time is Northern Georgia, Western North Carolina, and Eastern Tennessee. Compared to out west this area is always "close" to civilization, even though what happened to us is still out of range and creates a burden. I do have a group of friends that have interest in getting...

Thanks for the info. If you don't mind me asking, how much are those SPOTs per month? Delorme asks you to e-mail them for a quote...I wanted just a ball park figure. I have no idea if its $5 a month, or $100 a month.

    Communication options

Last week the wife and I decided to take our two year old daughter out for a ride around North Georgia via some FS roads. While in the middle of our most remote part of the trip we had a mechanical failure. This was a failure that I was not able to fix on the trail, and was going to need a tow...

    ARB MT30

And it figures I could find nothing UNTIL five minutes after I post. The first time I went to Engel's page I swear the part was not listed. Now the question is is there a vendor here I could buy from vs. straight from Engel.

    ARB MT30

I was trying to find info on this fridge but I am not finding much. Seems searches always go to a MT35. Anyway, I am looking for a 12V power cord for one and surprisingly having a little trouble. From what I have seen this is an Engel fridge. Any good places to source this cord? I hope I am...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Built an internal hitch that mounts inside the crossmember and allows the gas tank to still bolt up. I plan to build a trailer in the future to pull with this. The bumper always stuck out too far for me.

    winch needs

Warn M8000....period. I have dealt first hand with a number of the Smittybuilts and wouldn't buy one. For every one I have seen last, I have seen one fail in the first six months.....literally.

    New 3.6L Pentastar User's Report?

My father-in-law called me this morning to ask if he could drive me 200 miles from the house to go pick up his new Overland Grand Cherokee and drive it back home...over the mountains. He really had to twist my arm. I haven't looked at all the numbers because I am not in the market but I will say...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

I don't think I have posted mine yet, even though it has a few changes since this pic was taken. This was at Fall Creek Falls, and when my wife was still pregnant, about when I started just wanting to explore more than just rock crawl. Working on a few details on making it more comfy for long trips.

    The search for cool weather!

My wife and I have started a tradition of taking the week of our anniversary to explore an area we really like. This will be our third one and we keep going back to explore more of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Last year we did Chimney Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Mount Mitchell, a few good hikes, and...
