WordPress for Managing a Portfolio Website?

Thom, One more question in case I didn't understand how you manage the site. Do you compose everything in a development environment on your desktop and then upload the finished version to your production/ host environment? Or, do you simply make changes to production and rely on the version...

    Pictures onboard ISS

Thanks for sharing. I thought something looked familiar. From one of the comments: "There are at least 11 Nikon D3X / D3S and six D2Xs on board, plus the respective lenses..."

WordPress for Managing a Portfolio Website?

So, can I use it to compose on my desktop and then upload to the host server when I'm ready to move it to production? If so, then I could always keep copies of each version before I change anything and then if I have an issue, I could always revert back to the previous version until I could...

WordPress for Managing a Portfolio Website?

Thanks, Thom, for the quick reply. I always appreciate your solid feedback. To be clear, I want to have a site that's more than just selling prints or images. I want to have a place to host the portfolio, articles, maybe a blog, etc. too.

WordPress for Managing a Portfolio Website?

Anyone using WordPress? I've been thinking about using it as the website management tool, but I'd like to hear how easy it is to learn an use for a novice to websites. Otherwise, I've practically decided to use Expression Studio 4 for more of a WYSIWYG-type editor. I know some here use...

F/S 2007 AT Horizon in Colorado SOLD

Doug, I can't believe you're selling the trailer. I can say that it looks practically brand new; it's in such excellent shape. I really like how the rear camp light and switch were installed. I wish mine had all these cool upgrades ;)

Looking for good family sized thermos recommendations

Ditto on Nissan Thermos Amazon.com: Thermos Nissan 61 Ounce Stainless Steel Bottle w/ Folding Handle: Kitchen & Dining Pre-heat this bad boy and you should be good to go for a while. If it's completely full it will stay hot much longer than if it's only 1/2 or 1/3 full.

A look at the perfect travel tripod.

I've looked at this thread twice now and wondered too just how well this setup is working out for you...especially since I just went the opposite direction with a Gitzo 5541LS. It's not too heavy for me to carry, but it's quite bulky.

Need Tech Help With My Gen III

I didn't have this problem. Now, I didn't disconnect the ABS sensors either. I don't know if that's the culprit. I just unbolted the sensor from the knuckle assembly, but I left the sensor connected to the wire (see diagram #2). Then after the hub was replaced, I bolted it back into place.

    Jackknifing on the trail

If by nose swing, you mean the front of your vehicle, then no...in fact, the opposite will be true. The longer the trailer, the less it will be inclined to wander; or said better, the more notice you'll have that it wants to wander. But, you'll require more swing to correct.

New (to me) 02 Montero, have some questions.

It could be. It could also be the circuit board/ control board for the instrument cluster. If it is this, the problem usually manifests as a malfunctioning, mis-reporting temp gauge. This is what happened to me. The engine temp was fine, but the temp gauge was almost always showing as high...

    P0125 OBD II code

Clear the code and see if it comes back. I've gotten this code a hundred times, but only when towing and only then when I'm climbing hills and mountains on the highway. When I get back to flat land, the code goes away on its own before I can get it to the dealership. I've taken it to the...

Communications options for remote parts of North America?

    1. SPOT for one-way communication. Although, the new SPOT communicator with the Delorme PN-60 or bluetooth connection to a smart phone allows you to send specific messages. 2. HF/UHF/VHF HAM radio--expensive, but will give you plenty of range with the HF frequencies. The UHF/VHF will give...
