2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 build and adventures.

To be honest, no. It maybe helps a tiny tiny bit when you need to get a message through with low signal but not enough where I would recommend it. I’ve heard some state it depends a lot how it’s installed but i have the amplifier and antenna as far away as I can in my camper, definitely could...

2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 build and adventures.

Haven’t updated this thread much over the years, but since last time I added an alucab canopy camper, kings, a bison rear bumper, and i’m sure a lot of other things I’m not accounting for. The canopy camper was installed last April and has made some long trips that much more enjoyable. I’ve...

    Bush Company Alpha RTT

Sorry totally missed this question. I think the only elements that come with the tent are clamp like brackets which are pretty common with all RTT which you traditionally attach to load bars. Everything else is extra. There are some mounting solutions here...

2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 build and adventures.

Finally finished a few outlying tasks around the truck. I ordered a molle panel for the bed side and attached my first aid kit to it, it’s on a quick release so super convenient. Eventually it’ll be moving a bit, I had planned on putting the spare back underneath but I found out the previous...

It’s just a blank power tray designed for the Colorado which was then cut up to mount the sPod neatly. https://www.powertrays.com/collections/chevy-colorado-12-current/products/blank-powertray-chevy-colorado-12-current Thank you! I just unscrewed the antenna. I could probably fit a stubby...

2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 build and adventures.

I don’t necessarily trust myself to do a clean wiring job, and I wanted a good foundation to add things to in the future, so I exported the job. I’m pretty pumped how things turned out. And the sPod system is really cool, I can control it from my phone which will be nice for the side camp lights...

2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 build and adventures.

Installed the winch with the AEV relocation kit. We relocated the control pack to under the hood, as in the enclosed bumper there was no way to access it. Looks pretty clean and glad to be able to use the hardwired remote. I decided to order a National Luna which came real quick, two day free...

    Bush Company Alpha RTT

Yes this is how it looks with the D rings attached I've also heard some users in very heavy winds not using the spring rods and using a bungie to tie down the awning.

Yeah it changes quite a bit on different lights. My only minor gripe with it is that it's quite hard to photograph, a lot of the times it just looks black :D ------- I ordered a spod system over the sales this week. I also have a dual arb compressor I'll be mounting under the hood. I had...

18' Colorado Z71 long bed steel driveshaft

Any local driveline shop should be able to make you one, probably your best bet. Or you could take measurements and go with someone like Tom Woods who the jeep community uses pretty extensively. https://4xshaft.com/collections/chevrolet-products/products/custom-chevy-drive-shaft

2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 build and adventures.

On my grand scheme of where I want to take this truck, I knew I needed better recovery. Having a winch, especially on solo trips was a must and more armor up front was an added bonus. I had quickly settled on the CBI offroad full bumper in aluminum. I had good luck on my jeeps using aluminum...

2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 build and adventures.

Upgrading the leaf springs to the OME heavy duty springs was a quick change which returned the ride to a stock feel. Before: After: (the bump stops went back on when we had completed the other side) During this time I had also taken a couple of weekend trips to Yosemite, I'm a sucker for...

2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2 build and adventures.

I had to fairly quickly head up to Oregon to pick up my roof top tent. I had ordered the Bush Company Alpha and awning from CVT. At this time, Oregon had pretty bad fires and was smokey as anything. What originally I had planned for a nice trip with the new to me tent, turned into a quick out...

    Bush Company Alpha RTT

Spent about 6 nights in my bush company tent so far. It's a really nice tent - I added a 1" latex topper and have wired up a sirocco fan using their fan bracket. With all the canvas it keeps in the heat very well too. My first roof top tent, and definitely the best sleep I've had while camping...
