Thinking about an 80 for the wife, Questions

Any chance you feel like a road trip to CO??? I'm contemplating the future of my clean, supercharged 80 as my job is requiring a lot more road time than I anticipated and I have a nicely built 60 series for my off road duties. My daily driving and family situation are much better suited to a...

My mechaninc swears by the stuff. I used it once on a automatic transmission that I thought had bit the bullet and within 20 minutes it was good as new.

    Time for new tires

One More for the Nittos Check them out, you won't be dissapointed. I have put about 6000 miles covering nearly every terrain in the SW other than mud on mine and I haven't got a single complaint. On Moab Rock I would actually say they performed better than the BFG MT's on my other truck.

    Recommendations on best 'expedition' tire?

I have been really impressed with the Nitto Terra Grapplers that I put on my 80. I'm sure that I'll take that statement back the first time I end up in any mud, but on snow, sand, moab rocks, and loose dirt they have been amazing, I might say even better than the BFG MT's on my 60. Time will...

    Leadville 4WD Adventure, CO: (6/23-26/06)

The quickest route is to take 285, but that has you skipping Silverton, Ouray, etc.. Getting to Denver usually takes 5.5-6 hrs, getting to Leadville should only take about 4 hrs from Durango, so I'm not sure if I want to go up to Denver and back down to Leadville, I guess it depends if I can...

    Good quality tent?

I am extremely impressed with my North Face Basecamp 6 person tent. We have had it out in some pretty serious wind/rainstorms it performed flawlessly.

Are US Rover lovers mad like Toyota lovers?

Touche, but you're making me uncomfortable with this talk of my rear... I'm with you on the Rubicon, I was just looking at the new Unlimited and if they come out with a diesel I believe my 80 will be yesterdays news.

Are US Rover lovers mad like Toyota lovers?

I hate to point this out, but when I look in your garage it appears that Toyota isn't missing the mark by very far. And besides, if we could have our diesel 105 the only stuff left to dream about at night would get us in trouble with our sig others...:o Do you truly think Toyota could sell...

Are US Rover lovers mad like Toyota lovers?

Yes, but why would Toyota incur the same shipping cost to bring over a vehicle that will most likely sit on the lot longer and sell for a lower profiit?

    2007 Jeep Wrangler Four-Door (pics)

Well I for one am very glad they did not make a diesel. I don't think my Toyota friends would still have me nor do I think my wife would tolerate me after my short lived FJ Cruiser infatuation.
