Just a word of warning, my experience with these is that they get very shatter-prone when cold (below freezing). Mostly they hold up in the truck, but be careful moving them onto hard surfaces (pavement). Also, don't be surprised when the wheels break off. Doesn't seem to impair function...

Worst part of that install is getting the current rear shocks off. I suggest cutting the shocks off just below the upper mount. Some guys have luck unbolting the lower mount, holding the upper nut and turning the entire shock. But my experience is that you are going to trash the shock doing...

Agree on not always needing the bright light-but when you do need it, you really need it. Was thinking about running two strips in parallel, one white and one red, with a double-throw rocker switch to control which is selected. On the LED pods, I have also used stuff from Brad Taylor at Toller...

I've installed the TP42 on my Tacoma DC. To be honest, I'm not all that satisfied with the product, primarily because of the lack of "beefiness" of the tracks; the way the Thule footpacks mount to the tracks is also a concern but one that can be addressed with a little modification (see below)...

Adding: I ordered from the new web address and received 4" lights in about 7 days. Have not installed yet so can't comment on function. One thing that is clear is that you will need a fair amount of room to the rear of the mounting bolt as these things have quite a bit of depth to them. VT
