Thank you!
Cargo Storage
Finally got around to getting the cargo area situated. I liked the idea of the built in sliding tray but every time I went to use it stuff fell off. I started strapping my fridge down and that helped. I didn't want to do a drawer system due to the weight & cost...
CB & USB
Had a chance to do some more wiring on the swank tank.
First off - power!
In order to power our iPhones & iPads when the truck is switched off I decided to wire up a Blue Sea dual USB to the passenger side of the center console. Location is out of the way but close enough to the...
Looks like fun times! I've only backpacked up there & hope to take a vehicle someday.
How's the trip with the trailer? We have a similarly sized trailer (Manley) and I'm wondering about your experience. Cheers :)
I mounted & wired up some lights to the Gobi rack.
I ordered the stealth rack with custom light bar brackets to run a 6"/20"/6" LED setup. EAD made this easy and didn't charge extra (& saved me from having to spend anything on extra Rigid mounts/clamps).
I decided to remove the mount for the...
Oh my goodness that sounds amazing! wow talk about fun times.
It's understandable to be stoked for fall!
We visited Charleston earlier in the year and went redfishing. Was suppose to be a fly trip but the wind was rough. Still get a bunch and would definitely do it again and target others...
Adventure Jeep, mouse007 & marshal- thanks guys! I've been checking out your threads too- good stuff. lots of clever ideas out there- keep it up.
I hear ya. the Rubi KM has a good balance IMHO between road manners & off road performance for a mud tire. I liked my KM2s for similar reasons but...
I hear ya on the battery upgrade. FL must be brutal! I'll be doing that upgrade soon enough.
gf & her pops fly fish. I've been a spin fisherman since childhood but just started on the fly.
I think it may become a problem...a very expensive problem.
Be careful we may come visit you for a...
Gobi rack finally arrived.
Orders through Alec at EAD and it shipped 2 weeks earlier than his estimate. Still a long wait though. Gobi did me right on the Jeep so I decided to get another one.
Once you get over the wait it's worth it. Spendy but cry once, right?
It's a well packed palet...
Took a quick spring trip up to VT.
The 4R is easy driving and the miles roll by.
Tried to do some fishing but between all the rain and snow melt conditions were crappy.
Stopped by the dam & power plant. chatted up the guy working
Saw this ************ beastly
Pay attention when on the...
Next on the agenda: armor
Toyota should be embarrassed for the stock skids on the Trail Edition. And it wouldn't hurt for them to offer a slider (even as basic as the Rubicon's).
To remedy this I went with Budbuilt.
They fit inside!
I opted for bump out sliders (non-beefy). They'll...
I'll be honest: working on the 4R is more challenging then the Jeep. Apart from the huge catalog of aftermarket options (albeit a lot of junk) - doing anything with the JK took about 1/2 the time. As a trade off I will say the fit and finish of the 4R is more refined & comfy.
I realized all...
