haha I hear ya.
I forgot to ask if you have any rubbing with the new tire setup? is that the reason for moving the lift up? or just more clearance?
I'm planning on a pretty mild build too so thank you for the recon :)

after a couple months I've decided to put it back on the market.
Jeep just went through NJ inspection & passed.
Also just back from my mechanic for oil change/tire rotation & once over. All brakes just replaced too.
small boat got strapped down directly to the Gobi rack
yaks get mounted in the Yakima Aero saddles or a Thule J cradle.
loading the Aero saddle solo is easy. Loading the J cradle on a lifted JK on 35s isn't.
both setups are completely stable on the highway or on unimproved roads...
Thank you Josh & Mark!
Garbinator- glad to hear it. Definitely give Josh a shout. he's totally reachable & will answer any questions. If you get to the east coast and want to check out our trailer let us know.
I think so! :)
So we had a fun trip (again) to the VT rally. great to see some old friends & make some new ones. always seems too short and not enough time to make all the rounds!
on the way up from NJ we decided to make the push to score some local goodness.
I know I keep saying it...
I'd hands down rec AEV.
2.5" lift is the best ride on road (better than a few OME coil setups I tried) and off road does exceptionally well. 35 KM2s are no problem/no rub on Pintlers.
Speaking of pintlers - I've wheeled them through serious rocks and no issues. Ever. I'd buy AEV wheels...
I decided to keep the Jeep and see how it works out as a weekend toy.
Think I'd miss it too much without an immediate replacement.
In the mean time I'm going to continue to enjoy it!
haha! no we still have one Rubicon. figured 2 would be redundant & Caitie is itching to build hers a bit. how can I turn her down?!? ;>
some more pics of the JK:
