@Crux When I discussed with STC, they said they use polyurethane to seal the bamboo and that "We really like the [polyurethane] that we use currently as it actually "flexes" with the material, which is great for the bamboo as it experiences different temperatures (expands and contracts). There...

The Maxxair Deluxe fans are great. Not sure if they are direct replacement (opening, wire size, etc.) but really love how they work in the real world vs the standard. The electric opening/closing is a nice feature, though the gears are a bit noisy. You can manually crank the vent open and closed...

All I'll say is the same 2,300 - 2,500lb on our F250 (with 3,195 payload capacity) is night and day difference over the Tundra's 1,255lb payload rating. But that goes without saying. And even more so with 3,000lb trailer/300lb tongue weight added. Handling, transmission, laid back engine rpm...

What was your front and rear axle weights on CAT scale (when loaded with camper, full water, supplies occupants, etc.)? And total payload? On our Tundra and CAMP-X, we always scaled about 2,400lb of payload, for all of that, when heading out on a week long trip (not counting tongue weight).

Seat height can be tough since everyone's legs are different lengths. I find them about right. On a previous camper, our legs dangled from the dinette bench seats which is was incredibly uncomfortable. After sharing that observation, the manufacturer started putting in a raised floors and so...

Bowen makes two types of trays. One is a true flatbed and has a bed surface several inches higher than stock pickup bed, and another version that sits about stock height because the center bed surface is sunk down below the wheel wells (that tray model is specifically for slide in campers)...

A little 5'x8' trailer works great for moving around slide in campers. That is what I use at home for my last three. But for containers, I'd expect there would be a forklift around that could move it i to a container. But he'd need his jacks and want some type of 12" platform to support the...

The following images I took in a Flagship LT, but they are identical in the Flagship HT. Another view of the fan which includes light in the surround (activated by black button), remote control, and black-out shade. One of four molded-in LED interior lights along with another L track shower...

Galley images. A two-burner Propane cooktop is standard (a two-burner induction cooktop is optional). Black vent behind the cooktop is a galley-top vent for air circulation through the galley cabinet. It is positioned above the heat exchanger on the back of the fridge. The camper water tank is...

Cabin and Water heater, shore power, fridge: The standard Truma Combi heater is both cabin heat and water heater and runs off of propane. The Eco model is utilized rather than the Comfort model; the only difference being the Comfort model can generate more BTUs, but that level of heat isn't...

@Vsgfoster I found out that to date, STC has only installed the second Solar Controller in campers with the large 400ah battery banks. The large battery banks include a Progressive Dynamics 60amp shore power charger which is mounted up under the galley on the wall behind the cutlery drawer. That...

Then just stick with your manual crank. Opportunity for a bit of exercise, about the same speed as using a drill (if you take it easy like you should in this case), and you can feel when each jack is really taking on weight and move to the next one. All pros! :)

Don't use impacts on the jacks! You'll beat the internals to pieces. Make sure your drill is on the torque setting rather than speed setting. My Milwaukee 18v is a torque monster on that setting and does quite well. But realize it gets harder to crank each jack as it takes a larger percentage of...

STC does not offer any water tank options; only the stock 24 gallon freshwater tank. 24 gallons seems about right for a camper this size. Our previous OEV brand camper only had 20 gallons, so the 4 gallon (20%) bump over that, in our Flagship LT, has been nice. We did not get the Portable...
