So two years ago I misjudged a small dune at Atlantis Dunes and broke the lower part of the front bumper:
I just left it as is because Land Rover wanted R20k to replace the whole front bumper. According to them, the lower part doesn't come separately.
Anyway, I had plenty of time during the...
Another fun obstacle outing with the club yesterday.
A good mix of Defenders, Discos, and two RRSs.
Unfortunately I lost a side skirting on a steep drop, but loads of fun nonetheless ?
Hi,
The Mrs & I spent a few days at Tiger Canyon (http://tigercanyon.com/), a reserve establised about 20 years ago to save the endangered Bengal tiger, and now they have wild tigers roaming free as the apex predator in the reserve.
What an amazing experience: the one day we chilled not 2m...
So finally the awful weather cleared up and I got around to fitting the touch steering wheel controls that I had ordered from EuroActive (https://euroactiveparts.com/).
Pretty straightforward process, even for someone as DIY-deficient as me, what with my 3 left thumbs. The most difficult part...
After Thornybush and Londolozi, the final stop on our recent safari trip was Marataba Mountain Lodge: https://www.more.co.za/marataba/
After the plentiful game we saw at the first two reserves, Marataba was a bit of a let down except for the many, many rhinos we saw (I don't post photos of...
Not quite Landy-related, but wifey and I went to the Madikwe Game Reserve for a break from the current situation.
Here are some photos, this was only at one of the lodges that we stayed at, will post some more photos as we sort through them.
Hi everyone,
We just got back from 2400km round trip to the Kalahari desert, where we spent a week on a private game reserve of approximately 1400 sq km.
Here's a teaser, will put up some wildlife photos and videos once I've sorted through the thousands of photos we took.
Pics taken along the...
After many months of lockdown, our club finally got to do an outing at a very scenic wine estate just outside Cape Town. :D
A record turnout of 31 vehicles for the event, including 2 new Defenders and everything else in between.
A video of the day's events:
Some photos:
A short trip to the Cederberg for 3 nights, staying at the really nice Bushman's Kloof Reserve (https://www.bushmanskloof.co.za/).
On the way back, we did a little gravel travel to the best winery in the area, Cederberg Wines (https://www.cederbergwine.com/).
The itinerary...

Since today was a public holiday in ZA, couple of friends & I went to a nearby trail for some fun off-roading (https://www.tierkloof4x4.com/).
They were in Defenders and I was able to keep up (with some rock-packing and spotter guidance). This is a fairly technical trail, and a few people on...
