    The original expedition vehicle...

No worse than the rest of the Jeep... the whole thing gets uncomfortably hot to touch when it's in the sun... after driving for 20 minutes yesterday my infrared put the floorboards at 128F. I can still grab the shifters when they've been sitting out but they are pretty toasty. The grenade...

Not exactly sure what you mean.... they are easy to shift, plenty of leverage. If you were asking how easy they are to make... it wakes a while to drill out the billet aluminum... totally worth it though.

Got a bit more work done and took the Jeep out for a cruise. Things ran great initially but didn't do so well once I shut it off a couple times and tried to restart it and take it back out. I need to take another look at the mixture and change the thermostat for this thing to work well in 100...

    Discount Tire ******!!!...Over

After a minute or two of googling: "Well, the pictures clearly show that the lugs did NOT fail. The backing plate broke all the way around" http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=179679 The dually guys seem to have quite the history of breaking aluminum adapters.... they all...

    Disc brakes vs. Rim Brakes

Wow... I thought this debate ended 10 years ago. Discs are better, plain and simple. Th only comparison that can be made is in the miniscule gram count. (and that's even getting close) There are entire types of riding that were made possible by the evolution of discs... they are simply a...

Got some more work done today.... feeling lazy though and decided it's beer thirty :) Check the new cargo rack... not quite done with it though. Loving the way it turned out though. You can also see where the extended exhaust will be coming out. A brace from the rack will support the...

I'm already on earlycj5 and thecj2apage.... they're quite the helpful bunch in locating random little parts. My firewall tag is #14744 and the frame tag, ACM, parts, etc all match. I agree, to an extent, about the "purists"... my only rule was that I'm not cutting anything.(but I will take...

Hey there:victory: Yep, mine's a VEC model. Axles are army, windshield is army, plus the tool indents. I didn't go too in depth about the V-35 because I figured most people on this site don't care too much about the details... they just want the pics when it's done:coffeedrink: I'm about...

    Need to get active-er.

While it's not the end-all be-all solution that it claims to be... check out http://www.crossfit.com They'll tell you the workout to do every day... it takes less than an hour... always things you can do with no equipment... and there's scaled down workouts every day for people at various...

A little bit more work got done... the rain kept me stuck inside today :( Interior bolted down... found out my new tire size won't fit on the rear rack (grrrr)... the bed is the only place it'll fit. Going to have to make a mount for it. My fenders also have the factory mounting holes...

Actually there is a very clever series of things you must do to get these thigns to go underwater... everything from a waterproof cover for the carb, remote vents for the distributor and all drivetrain... and a remote PCV lockout to create 1-2 psi positive pressure in the crankcase to keep...

Got a couple things done today and one new project got started.... Fabbed up a timing peephole cover out of some aluminum scrap... Found a spring at Lowe's that works beautifully to replace my worn throttle return spring... Then I felt like having some fun with the project... I poked...

Booya! Knocked out a big piece of the puzzle today... got the little tank running well and went for my first drive of any real length (2-3 miles)... I think the distributor shaft bushing needs to be replaced though... it makes a lot of racket (almost sounds like a rod bearing, but I can feel...
