    OBS 350 as Platform?

I will probably own my OBS forever. I can rebuild it over and over again. The bones will never wear out, and I don't have to worry about rust!

    OBS 350 as Platform?

I would rather do maintenance than have a monthly truck payment. This is/was my first Ford owned and has been super reliable. I did the mods on it. I am the third owner. It has hauled, and towed everything I have asked it to. I'm super happy with it. 460 gas, 5-speed.

    OBS F250 slow adventure build

Why not keep it and just get a new truck? Yes, I'm trying to be a bad influence.

Lets see those OBS Ford / Chevy builds...

I'm not a fan of TTB and leaf springs, but I love your truck. Callen, brick nose, manual trans. Perfect. Here are mine.

    84 K20 6.2 Diesel

If you keep it from rusting, that truck will last forever. One thing that I learned is if you use rounded corners when you cut out the rust, the metal will not sink as much when you weld it. Sharp corners tend to move a lot more when you heat them.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

I really don't like to flame anyone on the internet; I'm not doing this without trepidation. I bought beadlock wheels so I could do repairs in the desert, and mount tires without hydraulic machines. I have destroyed one of my trailready beadlock wheels trying to dismount a Falken Wildpeak. The...

    37s Load D or E?

I'm on Wildpeaks too, but a 37 on a 17 inch wheel. I've got 10 inches of sidewall, you have 7. Your sidewall is much stiffer. I have heard nothing but good things about Toyo's. They are really tough.

    37s Load D or E?

To make it clear, I don't air down, but I also don't run at 80 psi. I run at 45lbs. and leave it alone; on and off the road.

    37s Load D or E?

Does anyone with a serious load in the back actually air down their tires? The last thing I want when off road and with a heavy camper in the back is to have squishy tires, and my sidewalls more exposed to rock damage. If you want more traction, go with a wider tire. I run 37's on a 17 inch...

They take incredible punishment. The drivers who are really good in the rocks have a fluid momentum that makes it look easy.

A bad day at KOH is still better than a good day at the office.

    Temporary Diesel Heater Install?

Nothing went right on this trip. Didn't get the high roof I reserved so I had to take a standard chevy van. There was barely room for a bed in the back, and no place to put the propane heater. I ended up having to run the van all night with the heater on.

    Temporary Diesel Heater Install?

That's probably what I will need to do. No power there, and I don't want to hassle with bringing my noisy generator.

    Suspension Edumication...

You need to decide what you actually want to achieve. If I say I want to make my truck faster, it could mean gearing, exhaust, engine mods, a new transmission, aerodynamics..... If you want to run bigger tires, you can do that with a few hacksaw blades.

Free Navigation Training From Jimmy Lewis

NORRA is offering a pretty sweet deal on training from Jimmy Lewis. They are going to road book only navigation for motorcycles at the Mexican 1000. If you've been sitting on the fence about doing the Mexican 1000 rally, now is the time to do it...
