Sounds like your intake tube could be your idle issue as others have pointed out. The intake needs to be removed and closely inspected as cracks are not easy to see. What are your long term goals?

Recent textbook recovery using a kinetic rope.

Just finished 4 days in a Fleet with t-stat set at 62°, night time temp 15° - 40° & 9000' to 1200' = 10gals or $3.53. Heat at $ .88 day bargin.

This past weekend I used a 1"x ~20' Kinetic on a 10K recovery on the beach and although it was not super stuck there was not a lot of stretch. Using my 7/8" x30' on a very stuck 7K vehicle on the beach used every bit of stretch requiring a couple of high spirited attempts with a heavy truck...

Has anyone witnessed a kinetic rope failure on anything 3/4" and larger? I have seen a lot of tow straps and Kinetic strap fail but not a Kinetic rope.

I have found using a heater using a heat exchanger system (Propex, Wabasto) will reduce condensation versus a forced-air heater.

Sometimes a regular old tow strap won't work and it takes a Kinetic rope will get the job done. Also, a Kinetic rope has 30% of stretch whereas a Kinetic strap only has 20%.

The straight hose is a nice touch on a compact set up.

Land Cruiser 80 series I find Gullwing Windows a no-brainer for Adventure travel even without swing outs. Gullwing testing this past weekend. Passed Lab approved

CO2 is by far one of the fastest ways to air up.....until its empty BTDT Only Viair 450 and above are 100 duty cycle. For portable Extremeaire Magnum is the fastest. There are smaller models available. PM if interested ExtremeAire Magnum Expedition

It actually starts at 30amp shut off at 50amp. I have run the crap out of a couple PUMA PD1006 for the last 12 years. Im a dealer for several 12 volt compressors and have tested many. I rate the PUMA as the best value.

Again I would love to hear how the 30K build budget is going?

Im just guessing but could the Hawk be purchased new in 2008 for less than the asking price? From what I recall most recreational items were going pretty cheap (if they didn't go bankrupt) in 2008/2009.
