IIRC those are called "LV's" and they are pretty rare here as I don't think they were ever sold here. I've seen 3 of these on this site lately, all of which needed a total resto. I think they are more common in South America which may also explain the rough condition they are often found in...

I though that would be the case, it doesn't blend in at all. When I had a MINI Cooper S I had more random come up to me to see the car than I have ever seen. Even the old Landy doesn't draw as much attention.

Well I finally made a purchase, I got the 16-85 f3.5-5.6 AF-S ED VR yadda, yadda from Adorama. In the end they had a refurbished version of this lens at a fantastic price and free shipping. The refurb version of the 18-200 was sold so the $$ difference was more pronounced. Adorama was mentioned...

DS, one issue I have read about with the 18-200 is lens creep and slow focus, especiallty at the end of the range. Have you had these issues and have they posed a problem for you?
