Valid point, but if you look at the rear axle and the different brackets for brake lines, ebrake cable, ubolts etc there aren't really any other spots on the rear of the axle tube to put the mounts unless you bend new brake lines and/or relocate brackets. I could have done lower shock mounts...
Couple recent mods I haven't posted yet. First, one of the final parts to complete the Slinky suspension is the addition of a new HD Blackhawk rear swaybar. This swaybar is designed to work as part of the Slinky kits and is noticeably larger than the factory rear swaybar. I have had this on...
From what I understand the mesh canopies all come with the new rainfly with more coverage. If the privacy is a concern, the Ultralight canopies are great and have excellent ventilation. The sky panels are very useful for airflow. Also, as a reminder there is a 10% discount when placing your...
haha no plot. I'm not that interesting.
The axe mount is actually a bike mount for a hitch mounted bike rack. It's made by swagman. The new trailer project is just something that's been bouncing around my mind for a few years now and I'm finally thinking its time to give it a shot. And I...
I've been contemplating selling this trailer to fund a new trailer project. I haven't settled on an asking price yet but I'm happy to entertain offers if any anyone is interested.

Sweet! thanks for the compliments and congrats on the new Cruiser! Gonna be a whole new experience for you. I owned a D1 Rover in the past and the 80 series is huge upgrade IMO. Let me know if I can answer any questions or be of any help with your build etc.
Maybe a moot point if you've made your decision, but given the size of the trailer you may not need to get it registered even if it's homemade. Most states require registrations based on weight and number of axles on the trailer. I have never needed to register my homemade trailer in Utah in...
On the topic of trailers....I've got one that I built back in 2008 and it's seen HEAVY use over the past 10 years. It was a really fun project and I was able to build it to match my needs. It's pretty basic compared to a lot of the options out there but similar is features to the ones you've...
I recently led a group through southern Utah for 5 days and one gentleman in the group had a new Eezi-Awn Stealth. He picked it up just days before the trip so it was his first shakedown with it. I also am good friends with Paul at Equipt and have looked at the Stealth in his shop as well as...
The truck isn't just a dirt road traveler and will still see the rocks sometimes. Really enjoying how well it works in both types of terrain.

Sorry you feel that way. There were many excellent entries to the contest with interesting stories and ideas. Congrats to those that won sponsorships! This is the first time Tepui has done something like this and maybe there will be other opportunities in the future and some new stories can...
