Fuel pickup for a D2 heater... How to?

    E350 pre-build wisdom (and hello)

The Ebrake setup for the sterling axle leaves a ~3" gap between the threaded rod and the "receiver" that it goes through. I welded an extension on this rod. Simple fix.

Nice DIY resource for SoCal folks.

These are all over Germany, "Mietwerkstatt's", where it's illegal to work on your car in your own driveway. They were a lifesaver when I was living there trying to keep the ring rat up to snuff. Lots of memories of shady Albanians and good beer!

I made this "bed box" setup for temporary use and now it's just taking space. It should fit EB vans and is built around rear HVAC. Simple and effective way to store gear under a bed. AND with mohogony rails!! :Wow1: They're priceless, well more like a couple six packs! Come and get em'

I like the darwin approach. Leave them on and see if they survive Baja! ;)

    The Ute II: E350 RB 7.3 ZF6

Yeah, bummer on the Maxxs. 10-4 on the K02's. It's hard to know for sure without first hand experience but the reviews seem to indicate that they solved the issues with the original KO's. They also now come with a snowflake rating. :) So I guess it's a mix of brand loyalty that they've earned...

    The Ute II: E350 RB 7.3 ZF6

Lol, actually every time I've gotten a flat out in the boonies! Looks like I spoke too soon regarding the Cooper ST Maxx's. I found a split in another tire that goes up half the sidewall. Not a cut, a jagged split, so I can't recommend these tires... America's tire was nice enough to...

    The Ute II: E350 RB 7.3 ZF6

Oh I love St. Maxx too. They hit the right balance between capability and road manners for me. This failure was my fault. If my but dyno was calibrated better I would have noticed the tire going flat before it got pinched.

    The Ute II: E350 RB 7.3 ZF6

Yeah that's a beautiful spot with lots of potential exploring. I wouldn't call the road up "full size friendly" though. It was technically more challenging than getting to the doll houses in canyonlands. Good trail crafting fun though! It was also featured recently on Petrolicious: Lol, a...

    The Ute II: E350 RB 7.3 ZF6

Honestly the root cause is probably me driving too fast down a very rocky road (WhiteHorse Ranch Rd in SE Oregon). The tire was punctured and then I think the sidewall was also pinched by a rock in the deflation process because it started with this normal seeming flat that I plugged and...

    The Ute II: E350 RB 7.3 ZF6

Cheers guys, been a while since my last post. The interior layout is TBD but the initial design is roughly modelled after a VW Westy layout. It will be a work in progress for sure! Thanks jack. I discuss the pedal earlier in this thread and the dimensions are available on their website (see...

    Optima Batteries SEMA 2015 Build

Nice! I placed my aux light switches down there too. The issue was that I wanted lighted switching to know if/which light was on but didn't want the glare from the glowing switch to be a distraction at night.
