I have a line on a nice solid 1985 diesel 127/130 double cab hcpu that is left hand drive with a/c in the UK. The dealer that has it is shipping me a truck in two weeks and would love to put it in the same container.
Shoot me an email if thats of interest-its cheap less than 20k imported.
Agreed ! There's a $75,000 110 in my driveway right now waiting for an auto transport co to pick it up and deliver it to a dentist in Bellvue Wa but thats another story. Cost the same to import that one as Ron's (since he outed himself) $722 truck.
I have sold a couple over the years but the vast majority of the 70+ trucks I have imported were already owned by enthusiasts here-ie they bought their own and then I handle the rest. I'm an importer not a dealer. This thread isn't about me but you pulled me in with the bash on rover prices...
mass produced using a robotics assembly line vs hand built, but look @ ebay Uk its not just a U.S. phenom. Disco's are cheap as chips in the Uk as well.

Having spent time in the Uk and driven all...

Asking because I haven't checked to see how the auto console fits the...
Thats an lt95. A 1 piece 4 spd transmission and transfer case.
Looks like he's going in with the disco's 1.2 and auto. I 'm doing a similar swap on an 83 except I'm using a 4.2 and also converting to lhd and the later Td5 dash with all new wiring harness's and a/c.
I'm expecting lots of wiring...
Back to the original question- its because he didn't import a 25yr old vehicle. He brought in a bunch of blown up Candian military shells as parts. If you correctly import a complete vehicle "with its original engine" it is Epa and Dot exempt.
What Creed is saying on his site is that his "kit...
I recently had to swap transfer cases and then had to pull it apart again a couple weeks later when the trans blew (235,000 miles and I'm pulling an all steel car trailer with heavy assed 110's on it). I borrowed a cheap, but very usefull trans jack from a friend. Its a harbor freight item that...
