Shockingly I used to do both. I "worked" at a radio station about 15 years ago and used to write sports columns for my highschool paper.
I actually also did music reviews for a company at like 5 bucks a pop, some of them you can still find on the internet.
Honestly that is probably the shocking thing about driving them from stock. Like once you start adding BS it goes away, but yeah they did these trucks right to get the most fun out of them from the factory.
With the injuries piling up for the Avs I don't see how the Oilers wouldn't be the odds on favorites out of the West. That being said I wouldn't want to play either of the Kings or Knights. The Kings basically go to the playoffs without help of goaltending, and now that they actually do have it...
The house brand version... I think its called the Mountain Trapper or something like that. Outside feels like a pair of Carhartt overall bibs, has a nice flannel pattern on the inside. For just about 100 bucks its fine. I could have went with a slightly bigger one, I think the one I picked up is...
It all depends on who is in the playoffs come the first week of May.... I have an idea that the most likely place for that may be Ontario over Alberta or Manitoba....
But yes, if I make that call to head up that way I will drop a line to all y'all.
I went to a Cabela's today because my...
Its not red. ;)
But seriously, this is an amazing build. The choice to go with the 7.3 Gasser with a 6.75 bed is absolutely the direction I'd go. Its just so well built.
I more than likely will be at some point, I loved it out there. There is a job I applied for in Mojave, which I know isn't close but its close enough.
I just needed to travel plus my apartment lease was up and they raised it to 2975 and my 3650 a month wasn't going to cover that.
Been extremely busy and had a lot of life issues get in the way of me continuing this build.
Originally I had a whole smattering of mods planned (full suspension, new winch, a few other quality of life mods) , followed by an Alaska/Arctic circle trip, but life happens and I had to scrap all of...
I did my last little trip about 10 days ago when we got hit with that snow storm. I'm driving cross country again in about 2 or 3 weeks so I'm packing up now, unfortunately.
So your experiences echo with mine, however I kind of came out of it wanting still really wanting one. It reminded me of a far more refined version of my old TJ, and I LOVED that thing. Road noise in the soft top Bronco was atrocious, but thats kind of what you get with a soft top. Now its been...
I'm asking this as a good faith question; How did it feel cheaply assembled? Was it the soft top or hard top?
15 mpg is kind of awful for either engine offered, but still curious as to what engine you had on your test drive.
Total anecdote from the GEN2 Raptor: total randomness. Feels like it's a manufacturing defect or something inherently flawed with the design. I've seen guys who are on top of all maintenance have then go out on them. I've seen guys who abuse their trucks have no issues.
