Help Needed: In thinking the canopy camper through, I was wondering if there are any pics of the following combo:
Billet Sliver Gladiator
Silver/unpainted Alu-cab canopy camper
Or
Any color Gladiator with a color matched canopy camper....except black of course.
I'm a little surprised at waisting time to try and develop a custom tire. Then say that the KO2 is an option. Seems like a waste of engineering hours and money.
The last thing I want is a custom tire on an expedition vehicle. When, I'm in the jungles of Borneo, I'm betting I'd have better...
That would be nice. What I'm hoping is I could either remove the small platform all together, or at least leave it up most of the time.
My wife generally needs to answers nature's call a few times a night and the easier it is for her to get up and down while half asleep, the better.
I'm sure it is buried somewhere in this thread, but on the 5' bed model, how long is the front portion of the bed platform? Just wonder if at 5'10" I could sleep on that front portion without pulling down the back portion of the bed.
Payload is one factor. 5’ bed is definitely another. Plus, I think a large portion of the type of people that get JTs, like the smaller mor minimalist style of camper like the AT, GFC, AluCab, CampKing, or Super Pacific to name a few.
Calibrated air gauges come at a cost. If you want a NIST certified gauge you can pull up McMaster.
Power tank has a gauge that comes with a cert that states it is within .25 psi accurate. Not sure who certifies their gauge. Plus it is on the cheaper side for a certified gauge at $175.

If weight is of no concern, the Kinsman is very sturdy.
All of these are free standing unless it is quite windy.
I use some hand me down Midland GXTs from my brother. Big Dave is correct. My brother did upgrade to the B-Tech. They make the midlands seem like toys. You can upgrade the antenna and the battery pack is great.
