Tire Deflators - What Do You Use and Why?

Nup, No slider, It's a case of grab hold and go for it, and then spend the next half hour getting over it. It's like carrying a 130Ah AGM around, I think i need a Garden Truck to move it with when it's loaded, My Head thinks I'm still in my 20's My body protests and always wants the last word...

Tire Deflators - What Do You Use and Why?

Yep well if it works ya can't knock it, That 3 1/2" Longacre Magnum I have only goes from 0 to 15psi but it does it in 1/4psi incramants and it is accurate to less than a 1/4psi their gauges are amazing I love em but I use mine just to check other gauges will because I'd hate to have them lost...

Tire Deflators - What Do You Use and Why?

I have 2 complete sets of the ARB gauges but my favourite gauge is their Low pressure gauge which goes from 0 to 50psi with 1 psi resolution and it is as accurate as my Longacre gauges but not the same build quality but they are good, The Low pressure and the E-Z deflator are 2 must have items...

    Flat Tire External Sidewall Repair?

I done my time in the Tyre industry at HQ for a major Auto company, As pointed out the flatness of the sidewall will dictate how well these patches stick, the only way to do a tempory patch on a side wall is to vulcanize it inside and out, That does not mean get Dr Spock to beat the daylights...

Tire Deflators - What Do You Use and Why?

Yep they are a work of Art, I was going to order the one you have but they did not have it in stock, If you check on Longacre's web site most of their Gauges are out of stock due to high sales, But they are the best. I have the 4-1/2" Pro 0-60psi and the 3-1/2" Magnum 1-15psi both are accurate...

Tire Deflators - What Do You Use and Why?

I really like using deflators but the ARB type or Generic versions are very accurate but the best part is using the ARB Twin Portable to inflate them afterwards, I prefer the ARB Blue inflator Gauge but I also have the Red 200psi digital one as well and the ARB Low Pressure Gauge is awesome if...

Tire Deflators - What Do You Use and Why?

There is a about 3 pressures you need for airing down and one for very extreme use, Which is why the ARB E-Z Deflator is the better option, using the Staun type deflators air mainly for single use/Pressures. In Iceland because they run 44 X 15 X 15/16 and bigger they will Air down to about 2psi.

Tire Deflators - What Do You Use and Why?

I have 2 ARB E-Z Deflators and 2 generic copies I swear were made in the same factory and I also bought a cheap set of those screw on deflators that came with a 100psi gauge in a case, and I just ordered another set from another company just to see if they are as good as the other set, ARB...

    Flat Tire External Sidewall Repair?

As an off road repair it would be fine, The main issue would be Airing Down where the sidwall flexis a lot would make it hard to keep in place and also because of the sharp square edges it would catch on a lot of rocks and things out on the trail a quick fix would be to bevel the edges, And the...

Do people use multiple shore power plugs?

It's funny I have always thought it was 240v but they claim its 230v but when you measure it it is always 240v, The wall sockets have a lever that when the Earth pin goes In it then opens the Holes for the Live and the Neutral pins on the plug, plus you can change the fuses on the plug, which...

    The Dometic CFX3 Mega Thread

It's crazy how many people bought CFX3's knowing there was a design fault, It's tough enough to avoid having problems with things, It's tempting Fate to buy something knowing that is was made already having problems. That's just asking for trouble. Thats not a knock against Dometic just who...
