The ambulance came equipped with an intake and an exhaust fan from the up-fitter... but they tend to be loud and not super effective. I’m aware I can get quieter versions... but I’m avoiding the expense atm,
Our temps here are fairly mild... but in the sun it’ll get warm in the back. The big...
I really like the look of those, Thanks.
I'm hoping to try a fan in the window first... and if it needs more, I'll add an exhaust fan on the roof also.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, I’m once again considering getting a 200-230mm 12v computer fan to install in the door window that opens in the side Ambulance door. The ambulance up-fitters fans using 3” ducts are loud an ineffective. Since there are no other windows that open, more rear...
Glad you found the CC solution. I struggled with mine for quite a while... changing parts, etc... eventually I realized it was working, but a ‘97 doesn’t have any indicator lights. Sometimes I even use it at 30mph in town so I can focus on more important things and not have to watch the...
On an aluminum bodied ambulance I’d lean towards aluminum nut-certz... I’ve bought & used them before. I’d keep in mind what I’m mounting and ensure that they’d be at least 3 times as strong as what would be required... standard Ambulance overkill ;)
In general the joint created...

Let us know how it works out... :D
Cruising around town I can ask the kids questions at the back of the truck +/- 12’ away without anyone having to raise their voice to answer. Under normal/moderate acceleration, we have to raise our voices somewhat to be hear each other from the back...
I soldered a female plug to the OEM wiring and then plugged in two panels similar to the one pictured above. The dome light is now super bright... perhaps one panel would have been enough... ;)
It almost feels like there’s a super even & bright headlight is mounted on the ceiling... no more...

$3000 CDN (-30+% USD). ‘94 7.3 PSD Crestline Ambo
No affiliation with seller. I enquired because I was hoping to get some parts, but it appears to be an earlier/different model of Crestline, so parts compatibly would be...
232 amp hours... although it generally isn’t recommended to go below 50%. This should mean the fridge can run 2-3 days without draining the batteries too much. Once the 100w solar panel is mounted to the roof, that should increase a lot... 7a potential should be enough to keep ahead of the...
The time vs money problem seems to be one common to all building custom rigs. I’m glad to see you’re able to start moving forward again.
I’ve also seen RV owners who have covers for their wheels to protect them from UV damage... if you put some on now, it’d conceal when you started working on...
Picked up a pair of 6 v golf cart batteries. I need to drill new holes for the bar that secures them. For perspective, the bar is installed where it fit for the previous batteries... about 4” lower. This year of Crestline will fit them without significant modifications. I had to tip the...
I’m sure it’ll look awesome... given how good it looked white, it’ll look good in almost any colour... except for hot pink... then we’d have to have an intervention and find it a new home (or put it down so it didn’t have to live with the shame). ;)
